you havent seen it yet

if you have noticed I have deleted a bulk of my art from the past year or so. I kept some things like gift art but honestly I've felt nothing but deflation in regards to social media and trying to do art of anything.

Posting in a new fandom and getting little to nothing felt like a massive rejection for something I instantly loved and for someone who has little going for them, with health issues and mental issues and a bludgeoning realization that maybe its more complex than standard depression and anxiety.

Honestly, I'm tired of this shit.

I'm sorry my art isn't worth sharing. So i took it away. There's no obligation or incentive. I did try to interact, but when you live through the cycle of saying something, and it getting ignored or totally stopping the conversation SO much you stop talking.

If I try to talk to you and you stop replying, I stop trying. I know it feels cruel but being on the opposite end of a dead chat is incredibly threatening to my preservation right now.

I dont post much, i'll reblog relevant information.

I will post some things to Cara, but nothing more that i do of SF. I hate going into the tag and seeing nearly everthing have so much love in response while I wait on the sidelines with a growing hatred for myself and my art.

It's been a long 20 years of the stupid rat race that has never been in anyone's favor. And the reflection of a life where i'm only tolerated conditionally. I've never done well, and sometimes you wont believe anything other than it being "you".

At first I wanted to write something but after a while I switched to an artwork instead.

It's supposed to be some kind of Best-Of of Celena :>

Her "sins" as Dilandau slowly dissolving in the past while still being a part of her. The support of her loved ones (Jajuka and Allen respectively) all while learing to finally live as herself and how she wants.

I really love the blue dress she wears in that one episode where we first really see Celena <3

The whole artwork is supposed to look like some kind of Fine Art Print. I hope I managed to convey that xD

How to make a call script to talk about a bill

Alright, so if you're here you've probably seen those posts about "call your senator/rep/whomever about xyz" but then don't include a script. Here's a formula to making your own. Remember that you will likely to be talking to an aide, not the person themself, so you'll be using third person (he/she) rather than second person (you/your). Once you fill in the script for yourself on whatever your issue is, pass that new script around. Calling your representatives is a numbers game, not a uniqueness game, and a completed script helps with accessibility.

If you want to do this but need help, especially if you're trying to call a politician who usually doesn't align with you, feel free to send me an ask and I'll help you. It's a good skill to have, but it's not intuitive to everyone and that's okay!

Option 1: The Basic I've never had this version take more than a minute, and since the bulk of calls are boiled down to a yea/nay without much regard for content outside of that, it does it's job.

Hi. I'm calling today from [place your person represents] as a constituent of [name of your person]. I heard about [bill number], or the [name of bill], and was calling to express my [support/concern] for it, as it would seriously [benefit/harm][name of your person]'s constituents in my community. Because of this, I'm calling on [him/her] to vote [yes/no] when the bill comes to a floor vote. (They'll say that they'll pass it along) Thank you, I appreciate that. Have a good day. *hang up*

Option 2: The Deluxe This one takes a little more effort, but can help your call stand out a bit, which helps indicate that you actually do care. Before you call, look on their website to see if they've supported any initiatives similar to the one you're calling about (even if it's kinda tangential). This works because most people call to complain, so saying "you're doing a good job" is a nice change of pace. They're people too, even if they're detached.

The UK Government have launched a consultation on whether AI should be allowed to scrape content online with complete disregard for copyright.

The consultation is stuffed to the brim with technobabble buzzwords and jargon that frames AI as wonderful and that this is a foregone conclusion.

people always talk about leaving comments on ao3 like it's a nice thing to do, or the best way to encourage writers to keep writing, or overall like it's how you Do Your Part in fandom

and yeah, all those things are true, but having spent the past few months leaving enthusiastic comments on as many things as i can, i have a different perspective

you should leave comments on fics because it's fun

taking the time to stop and focus on what i like about a story has made me way more aware of what's going on in stories and what i like about them. there's bit more actual comprehension and appreciation and not just beaming content into my eyes to fill time

i like noticing cool little things in fics, or riffing on funny events. i've never been very good at speculating or picking apart characters, but sometimes something clicks and it rocks.

and of course it's pretty nice when you get a response and it's clear you've made another person happy

so yeah, you should leave comments for your own sake, too. it makes reading better!

PSA for Switch owners

The latest 11.0 update means that Google Analytics is a thing on the switch and turned on. What that means is that Nintendo has a deal with Google to share with them your data for advertisement purposes.

To turn it off

go to the eShop

go to your profile where your funds and account info is

go down to the bottom of the page

there you will see “Google Analytics Preferences”

select the Change

select “Don’t Share”

Please spread the word. Really shitty of Nintendo to just quietly start allowing Google to spy on users for advertising.
