Tissue Series
These pieces are made of Japanese mulberry paper and the gilded edges of old books. They are constructed by a technique of rolling and shaping narrow strips of paper called quilling or paper filigree. Quilling was first practiced by Renaissance nuns and monks who are said to have made artistic use of the gilded edges of worn out bibles, and later by 18th century ladies who made artistic use of lots of free time.

Why aren't you loaded, anyway? Vampires live forever. Even with a basic bank account, your compound interest would be through the roof.
#mopping up the toilet at my old cafe job was the most disgusting thing#and we had our own 'God not more sick' moment#also we used to collect up the fat from the grills in the 2L catering spread tubs#and only when it was at the point of overflowing stick the lid on it and bin it#so it always used to spill#2.01#4.03#being human

I ended up bursting into tears in front of my boss while wearing a pair of marigolds at work today. (After my boss had already commented "nice gloves" about a minute earlier, so they were very much noticed)
And while it was not very nice at the time, in hindsight it may be the most Being Human TM thing to happen to me.
This was literally me:
#for context i had a family bereavement this morning and my boss came to check on me#i decided i'd be better at work and busy#so i was at the sink cleaning out acrylic paint out of glass dishes with a scourer#which put like that does sound like absolutely mental behaviour#very annie sawyer hal yorke coded

josie really lived the best life. pulled a successful beauty and the beast gambit, spent years with a hot vampire boyfriend who stayed good For Her™, broke up with him amiably some time later, lived a full and normal human life in the interim decades, met up with her hot vampire ex by happenstance in her 60s while undergoing treatment for terminal lung cancer and he was clearly still into her, helped save the world by telling george that the vampires were up to no good, helped save the world a second time by donating her blood to get mitchell out of the hospital before too many red flags were raised, and chose to die quickly of heroic and sexy blood drinking over waiting for the lung cancer to take her. in a show full of tragedy and doom she had nothing but win after win after win. "but there are so many plot holes surrounding her" god forbid women do anything.

I understand that museums have to be dark because light can destroy fragile artifacts. That said, I’m always afraid to walk around the blind corners because what if there is a skeleton
#there's a small Egyptian section in our local museum with a mummy (not a real one) standing up arms out as if it's coming out of the wall#and it alone is responsible for 90% of my nightmares as a child
