This has got to be the most incomprehensible thing I’ve ever read this is a reply to a dumbass pick up artist twitter thread but it sounds like a riddle that you’d be given 3 chances to solve before getting thrown in the gallows

and by the way let’s not forget that almost 400 of the people currently fighting the fires in southern california are inmates, who comprise up to 30% of the state’s wildfire forces and are incentivized to sign up for this perilous job with slightly higher wages (quote from the above link: “when responding to disasters, they may earn $26.90 over a 24-hour shift”); and that a ballot measure to end prison slave labor was defeated during last november’s election.

no no see, domesticity IS hot. how intimate it is to make food with someone, to share a bed, to brush your teeth at the same sink, to shower and use the same towels and the same laundry soap, to grocery shop and hold hands through the aisles, to be cornered in the kitchen to make out while a pot of pasta boils over on the stove. to fall asleep and hear them snoring softly and laugh at the little trail of drool out of the corner of their mouth. to spend money together and share chores and pick on each other for your weird habits. it's not always perfect and beautiful, but it's comfortable and familiar and I just think it's neat.

I was walking out of court yesterday and the deputy working the security desk goes 'stay safe out there!" And I go, yeah the sidewalks are pretty slippery. He responds, "hey, do you carry?' and I said no, because we're very much not allowed to bring guns to court. And he goes, "You want some mace? or a knife? we got extras"
