My shitty ex who I was with for YEARS was incredibly dismissive of my love for the Nancy Drew games (I would later realize he was awfully dismissive of anything that could be put in a "for girls" category which is honestly a huge red flag)

My amazing girlfriend, @dothedrew, who chose the name of this blog with me, and makes memes and images used in it, played these games with me as COVID dates when we were first seeing each other. On our second or first session of playing DOG, she said "even if we broke up I would still go and play all of these games." She got me a framed DOG poster as a gift once, and we are planning some house decor to be ND themed when we build our future home. Don't settle for someone who doesn't care about the things you care about. Hold out for that magical person who will hold the things that are close to you in their own heart, and vise-versa <3 having a partner who shares things with you, instead of ignoring your interests, is such a huge quality of life upgrade <3

Half meme half being real: it’s a red flag if ur partner doesn’t want to play Nancy Drew games with you/doesn’t let you talk about them/doesn’t watch you play them etc.

For me it showed me that my partner didn’t want to know or understand my interests/the things I’m passionate about. My hyperfixations (i.e. Nancy Drew, Pajama Sam, other video Games) are a really big part of who I am and to understand these hyperfixations or show interest in them is to understand and show interest in me.
