I'm not a boxing fan, but want to pay respect to this great man. Muhammad Ali was an icon. An athlete that transcended sports with the same grace, will, and determination he showed in the ring. I love so many of his quotes and will remember him most for his courageous fight beyond the ring. Reflecting on this significant day, 3 yrs ago: This is a picture of when I walked w/my bandmates to celebrate over drinks playing a wedding & the many long nights of practice & rehearsing a set of songs we never played before. Little did I know that that night would be my first live performance and I would be invited to play full time with these super talented musicians every month to lead worship @warehouse242. Through this journey I have gained 4 new friends that I didn't know, reinvested in my love of playing piano, found another small group to share life with, and most importantly grown deeper in my faith by actually enjoying listening to Christian music through learning to play certain songs. It's been a wonderful ride and I am so grateful to these 4 and @bwnorton.
