EXO, We Are One! Saranghaja!

EXO is a kpop group that is composed of 12 members. They started as 12 and now they are down to 8. They first debuted in April 8, 2012.

The following were the original members: ·        Suho (Leader, EXO-K, Kim Jun Myeon) ·        Xiumin (Kim Min Seok) ·        Sehun (Oh Se Hun) ·        Chanyeol (Park Chan Yeol) ·        Kai (Kim Jong In) ·        D.O. (Do Kyung Soo) ·        Chen (Kim Jong Dae) ·        Baekhyun (Byun Baek Hyun) ·        Kris (Leader, EXO-M, Wu Yifan) ·        Lay (Zhang Yixing) ·        Tao (Huang Zitao) ·        Luhan (Lu Han)

Why am I writing this blog about EXO?

I am not really into KPOP music until the time when I was able to discover that EXO existed. Yes, for real. I am a fan of EXO. Maybe I am not like other EXO fans which considered themselves as EXO-L who are really into buying things about them and being in their concerts and some who were so possessive when it comes to their personal lives and love life. However, all I can say is that I admired this group, the members, the talents, and their kind of music. Whenever I saw their performances on You Tube and other online platforms, my heart became so happy. I felt like in cloud 9. Whenever they cried, it is tearing me apart. I can feel their sincerity as idols and as a person. I really hate seeing them cry because they don’t deserve to be sad. They are idols who made me happy and every time I read hate comments about them, it makes me so angry and sad as well. They are really great and don’t deserve all the negativity in the world. It is my first time to be hooked by a KPOP idol group which is very unusual to me way, way back then. It makes me so happy and inspired every time I am down because of life’s challenges. It makes me so alive whenever I watched videos about them, good news about them, and hearing their music even though I did not understand some of the lyrics. For me, it is not more of understanding the lyrics but it is on how it captivates your heart, the feeling that is in the music that is more important. I am not Korean therefore it is normal for me not to understand their words used and I still need some subtitles. However, the way they sing a song really makes me love their music. There are a lot of ways to communicate to other people and they were able to get that. They’ve got the talent to communicate to the people in any part of the world. I am one witness of that. They are so talented that even their voices transmit a lot of emotions, feelings, and messages to those who are listening to them.

At the start, I’ve been hooked by one of the member, Chanyeol for he is so good and later on as I started to view videos about them and watching their MVs, I started to love all of them. I really love watching them on variety shows and seeing them get to improve day by day. I don’t know them personally but by seeing them on videos and reading things about them, I know in my heart that they possessed good and kind-hearted person. I am also happy to their achievements. I am secretly rejoicing their every success as a group and even on their own one. I was wishing to meet them in person someday to acknowledge them on how they have changed my way of thinking in life. I wanted to thank them for being an inspiration to millions, billions of people in the whole wide world and to me personally on how did they become one of my inspiration. I am really so happy with their own achievements in life… their awards and others. In the recent news which shocked the entire EXO Planet, there were positive and negative comments. EXO Chen which in real life is Jongdae got married and even having a baby girl with his wife before they got married. Well, it was sudden yet I am so happy for him and her wife and to their baby girl as well. For me, it is something worth rejoicing. A lot of fans or shall I say trolls wanted to push him away, and be eliminated from the group but I am against with that idea. It wasn’t a mistake having that news because it’s a blessing. We have to rejoice, for Chen is responsible for his action. I am so grateful for his achievement. I was even hoping for an update about him and his family. For sure, he is happy with his new life with his family. However, I hope that he will still remain as an EXO member and still stay with the group. I want him to still do concerts with the group. He must not lose courage to still be on stage. Maybe, they’re few people who hated him but I want him to hold on with the billions of people who wanted him on stage with the group supporting him and the group all the way.

I hope that even though they are not complete while the other members were having their mandatory military services, the remaining members will still actively do some promotions and concerts as a group. I want to see them representing their group as one. Because EXO, We are one!

I hope that someday, the group will make a comeback as they all will finish their mandatory military services. I will definitely wait for the day that they will perform again as an EXO group. My heart will patiently wait for them. As Suho said in one of his posts that if you enjoy waiting, that is love, well, since I love them, I’ll be waiting for their comeback. Hoping that the 8 years as for now will reach 50 years and more. I hope that even though they will already have a family on their own, EXO will still be there; doing concerts, new albums, and promotions, even commercials. I will still surely support them even in those moments of time. Even though I will also have a family of my own, I will still idolize them and introduce them to my family… to my future kids. That will surely be a promise as an EXO fan.

EXO, we are one! Saranghaja! Saranghae! You will always be part of my life until the end. I hope that this blog of mine will make people see how good and great EXO Korean idol group is.

The Pandemic...

What is it like to be in this time of pandemic? What does it taught us?

A lot of things just happened and changes in just a blink of an eye. It was like yesterday when all the people and even we were busy with our own lives—working, studying, chitchatting, and strolling in our favorite places. Then, a sudden turn of our lives happened. A pandemic just hit us all and even without our consent, it changes our lives, changes our way of living, changes our way of thinking, and even changes us without noticing it.

When this pandemic just explodes like a bomb, it gives the people fear to their lives. The world was shaken. Every part of the world got affected. Some of the ways that the government in every country were as follows—implementation of the total lock down wherein nobody is allowed to go out in any ways, have to practice proper hygiene and hand washing, lastly is the social distancing.

How did these ways affect us?

The total lock down or the quarantine…

This way is an effective one for us to avoid the transmission from one person to the others. I can say that this is quite effective. The people stay at home with their families. They got to bond with their family and loved ones. They even got to discover talents and learn new things that they are interested to such as cooking, baking, and other stuffs. They were also able to rest and relax from their usual stressful life. However, behind these positive things that every individual is enjoying and embracing in life, some negative things came in. A lot of people lost their jobs and freedom to go out whenever they wished to have. A lot of people were suffering from stress and anxieties which leads to depression. A lot of people were having fear of getting the virus which makes their lives become more miserable. A lot of people were not able to see their families because they were locked down in the place away from their families. These are just some of the things on how pandemic affects us.

Hand washing and proper hygiene…

This pandemic is teaching us to be more conscious of our own health and hygiene. At the start of the pandemic, the government urges that people need to wash their hands every now and then especially if they get to have contact from the outside things or people.

Social Distancing…

Avoiding people and keeping a distance from them is one way to avoid being infected and to infect others. However, it makes us more introvert. It makes us more alone than we were before. We are not allowed to touch, hug, kiss, and being near even with the people that we love. This is to prevent the transmission of the possible virus. As much as this pandemic is trying to become more dependent to ourselves, it is quite frustrating to some people who were born to be more dependent to others and expresses their love through the sense of touch like hugs, kisses, and etc.  

But on the other hand, this pandemic shows a lot of good things to both the world and the living organisms. The world, the nature became more stabilized, cleaner one. The water in the sea, streams, rivers, and other bodies of water became clean and clear. A lot of water creatures were going out and being discovered due to non-interference of people. This became good to the animals and other water creatures. The air became more clean and fresh. Pollution became invisible now to the world. The skies became clear during day time and the stars and moon is now more visible at night in the sky which is rare back then. A lot of people became more helpful to others. Those who were fortunate in living are helping those who are in need, those who are less fortunate.

Come to think of it, this pandemic does not only create a negative impact but it shows us good effects as well. It makes the world become better version of it. It heals the broken world that we used to live. We were affected greatly but behind it are good things that is making the Mother Nature to be back again from its original form. This pandemic is trying to teach us to be more caring to the nature, to the world we are living in. It teaches us to not take for granted for the things that we have. It teaches us to reflect on how we treat the world in our past and usual life. It teaches us to call God. It teaches us to be closer to God. For God is not our last choice but our only choice from the very start. I wish and pray that soon, the Lord will heal our world from this pandemic. Lord, Heal Our Land!
