Last night I dreamt

That I was at a StarKid fundraising show with my mom. It was a quite intimate setting, like a stage upstairs of a pub or something. 

And the regular Starkid cast appeared, cheered on as they came on stage. But then a bunch of other famous people showed up: Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher, Kristen Bell, who sat next to my mom and I. While waiting for the show to start I was trying to figure out what crowd this was.

 Kristen was being super friendly chatting up my mom, saying how nice it was that moms showed up to support new acts and stuff, and I was telling her “well this could be Second City/New York Improv because of Tina and Amy, but I thought it was also the That’s 70s Show people cause I think I can spot Laura Preppon in the back.” 

But then I turned to her and was basically like “but you’re useless for this exercise, because you’re LA but not Groundlings, also linked to New York comedy through Mike Shur but not technically improve, and you’re TV but also MT and really your ability to be good at everything is very unhelpful right now.” 

And then there was a raffle and my mom won the Mamma Mia award for best supporting parent, which included free tickets to the next gig and a an all expense paid trip to New York and she had somehow made best friends with Kristen Bell and I felt this irrational jealousy so I stormed out. 

Only to have Kristen follow me outside the venue and be like “this is all a misunderstanding, I was trying to be nice to your mom so I could get closer to you, you oblivious idiot.” 

Anyway that’s what happened.
