Without something to come the story would be incomplete, in my opinion. Loki alredy made it clear that there will be a later. I'm almost sure that they will interact. The question is when.

I was actually always pretty sure that there would be another interaction between Loki and Buddha after the situation in the garden~

Of course, it also depends on how his round goes, but who knows if there will be time for it afterwards.. (But I also have the feeling that if that really happened, it would completely escalate.)
