@hanaiikiki When you look for Loki GIFs you can find this one of a tank and I couldn't help but being reminded of Loki's sneezing scene. Once there was such a comparison post on Tumblr and that person was so right.

Leftovers to bring the fallen back to life - Record of Ragnarok Theory
Correct me if I'm wrong, because I don't remember everything correctly now, but don't some charakters leave something behind when they die sometimes? For example in Adam's case it is the leaf or Zerofukus weapon.
This makes me a bit worried over the poppy Loki throws to the ground. Maybe this is his leftover, but rhis time it's something from before the fight.
All this makes me hope that these things belonging to these characters will be needed to bring them back to life when reality falls apart and the "border" between the death and the living vanishes or is fluid. Who knows what will happen. Umfortunstely this myst be my wishful thinking.
Anyway, I realy hope that Loki doesn't give this poppy as a leftover. But I totally see the symbol of death generally here.

Connection between Loki and Chaos (Possession?) - Record of Ragnarok Theory
Well, since we know of the existence of Chaos, I thought that there could be a connection between him and Loki. Just like Beelzebub is possessed by Satan, Loki could be posessed by Chaos as well.
I thought that this may go too far, but after the leaks of Chapter 99 it makes even more sense.

Why Loki is underestimated and why he should't be - Just some thoughts (Record of Ragnarok Theory)
Now that Loki's fight is coming I thought again about the reasons why he is often underestimated. The most obvious things to me are:
1. He has a clear feminine side and a playful attitude, so people think that the "femboy" is more of a talker and thinker, but he can't fight.
2. He is a cheater. If he uses tricks instead of facing the other person directly and play with open cards, he must be weak.
3. He doesn't dare to attack Buddha right away. When the other Gods and humans enter the scene and Buddha can be distracted more easily, Loki dares to attack. Then he can "hide" behind the others who attack Buddha and Okita, Kondo and Sasaki.
4. It is almost too easy for Okita (without the help of a Valkyrie) to block Loki's attack in the manga. It leaves Loki kind of shocked or at least surprised for a moment.
Well, I totally get those points but I absolutely don't agree.
Loki may not be a typical fighter in superhero style, but this doesn't make him less dangerous.
I mean, isn't it dangerous to underestimate him for all those upper reasons? We haven't seen much of his fighting skills yet, but he has shown very cool powers so far, like changing matter, transformation of himself into other people, appearing out of nowhere, floating and of course his hook chains.
But what makes him really dangerous, is his intelligence, slyness, creativity, and madness. On top of that Loki is hotheaded and cold at the same time and you can't predict his actions and reactions easily. I also wouldn't be surprised if he had an amazing agility and flexibility of the body (we already know that his mind shows all that). Maybe he can manipulate also other people's minds.
For sure he always does one thing: He uses all he has. No trick is too dirty or too cruel when he wants something, especially when the other person isn't his friend.
The reason why Okita could block Loki's attack is not because Loki is weak. Loki wasn't giving his best at all. Just look at him! It looks like he is a cat playing with some mice. He wants to test those humans and play around. While doing that, he finds out that they're really not bad. But before it gets serious, Zeus and Odin interfer. So we don't find out, what Loki can do.
Also the point that he doesn dare to attack Buddha... Of course it can be, that he's scared, but to me it simply looks like Loki being clever, not scared. For sure he has at least some respect for Buddha, because they seem to know each other well enough to know who the person infront of them is and what it means.
So attacking Buddha while knowing at least a bit about his skills wouldn't make Loki less of a coward. It would make him a fool and it wouldn't do anything good to Loki's plan of confronting him.
Loki is clever, so he doesn't show all of his intentions. It looks like he is hurt in his pride as a god and wants to call out a traitor, but he is also very upset and jealous about the connection between Buddha and Br眉nhilde. So he doesn't expose Buddha, because this would expose Br眉nhilde also. By the way, Loki must be really mad that Buddha, knowing it or not - doesn't matter actually, made Ragnarok possible. He's not only the reason why gods can die and humans have a chance, the gods get their pride hurt, but this means that Br眉nhilde will also fight and probably die. So keeping quiet is actually the best option in this moment.
After the some other gods and humand stick their nose into this situation Loki can "hide" behind them in many ways. I'm far away of saying, it's out of fear. It's simply clever, if he is scared or not.
But apart from all this, I've found something that's also quiet interesting. Buddha asks Loki right away, if he's looking for a fight. So Buddha does Buddha draw a conclusion or is it prejudge? Well, I think Buddha must know Loki well enough to asume that Loki wants to start beef. Maybe from observation, maybe from situations in the past, when Loki tried to mess with him. It looks like they met some times before. This isn't their first talk. So Loki must know know more about Buddha, than he heared or read.
The interesting part of this whole situation isn't only that Loki doesn't attack Buddha - because this makes sense - but it also looks like he DOESN'T DARE to touch him. Loki comes very close to him and even says that he will kill him, but he doesn't try to have body contact.
Well, you can say, the easiest explanation is that there it's simply no need for Loki to touch Buddha. He could try it to make him uncomfortable, but for sure Loki knows, this wouldn't work.
But still, Loki is a very touchy person. Just to think about how he took Heracles' face in his hands. Well, we don't know much about their relationship, but they seem to be closer. Loki also touches Ebisu's shoulder to get him out of the way. So I was wondering if the fact that Loki seems not to dare to touch Buddha could be a sign of more respect that thought, or even hidden fear for real.
We know that happens when Ebisu tries to punch Buddha. His fist doesn't even come close to Buddha's face and there is no effort for Buddha at all. Loki must know about this skills and that it's the best to keep some distance. Maybe he once tried to mess with Buddha and got a lesson or observed other situations like this beween Buddha and another god or whoever.
At least this would allow to come to the conclusion that Loki may be hotheaded, but he can stay cool and keep the mask on when there is something to gain by doing so. This allows him to use his sharp analysing mind to mantipulate the situation, because he can manipulate himself. And he loves when things escalate. Of course, because in the chaos there is an hidden order - his order.
Sorry for grammar or spelling errors. It's late and I wanted to get this off my chest.

You know, it's almost as if he is ignoring the fact that Brunhilde wants to save humanity, too. The fact, that she is actually asking him to die would hard enough, if it was for humanity. But Siegfried is also a giant topic and when it comes to Brunhilde... it's the biggest one for Loki. Why? Because it destroys all hope over and over again.
It's also kind of interesting to see that Loki didn't show any hatred towards Siegfried. It's like Loki, even if he brings up the whole Siegfried topic again and again, doesn't want to think about his existence. Well, who knows what reaction Loki would show while meeting Siegfried... As for now he didn't have a chance to show us his emotions towards him.
Actually Siegfried isn't some one Loki is fighting with for Brunhilde's heart for real, because her heart already belongs to Siegfried. So if there is rivalry, it appears to be only in Loki's head. Siegfried doesn't need to "win" or proof anything. I think, this is why Loki is trying at least to keep an eye on other men around her, like Heracles and Buddha, JUST IN CASE there is a chance to fill the gap, when Siegfried is history. It looks like he is trying to keep flies away from the best sweet ever but it's not even for him anyway and it's not his business to do so. I hope you don't get ne wrong and know what I mean by this sentence.
Some personal thoughts about ch 98~ 1
(This time it was somehow particularly difficult/emotional for me to summarize my thoughts here. Of course, everyone can interpret it differently and I'm sorry if everything seems a bit chaotic and unfiltered, but I just wrote down what I thought about the whole situation. So let's get started~)
Tumblr media
At the beginning~ there's Brunhilde waiting for Loki at the fountain, because she wanted to meet him. She seems visibly quite tense and nervous (also shy.. almost untypical for her) which I thought was natural considering what she actually wants from him and it certainly wasn't easy for her to express this request.
Tumblr media
If we ignore the situation as it actually is, I think this panel is really beautiful and sweet~ but it's again noticeable how tense she is as she looks over at him, but he still automatically keeps a certain distance from her, as if he assumes that she might not want him to get too close.
Tumblr media
This comment from Loki made me feel like he automatically thought, that she might not like being around him? Considering how she flinches slightly (which I didn't even notice at first) or it's 'just' the situation, which also could represents a conflict for her. But If we also think about the scene in ch 11 when she looked at him annoyed when he first appeared or connected to ch 85, it could of course also show, that she has something against him in general in a way. And who knows what happened in the past.
Tumblr media
The fact that Loki assumed that she would really accept his offer, is on the one hand, so naively sweet to me and how he was really so excited about it in that moment. The only 5 seconds in which he was allowed to be happy.馃挃 It even looks like he's blushing slightly~
(It's clear what Loki's nature can be, but for me, it seems that he has no ultimate motives when it comes to Brunhilde and doesn't expect anything in return or want to gain anything for himself here except to save her, because despite everything, he does this for her.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(I somehow always had the hope and still~ that there was something between them in one way or another in the past and I don't mean in a romantic way, but maybe a friendship or something else. One scenario that I thought is that maybe he had to deal with a lot rejection and not being accepted in the past and maybe she was the only one who was nice to him.. but of course~ when we consider her behavior towards him, it also gives the feeling that maybe it was really always one-sided. That he fell in love with her from afar in an infinitely unhealthy way and developed this obsession. Which would also fit his nature, but somehow makes it even more tragic, it is already.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's so painful to see him like that.. As you can absolutely tell from the look on his face how it's breaks his heart again.馃挃 He immediately realized why she was asking him to do this. It seems like he really assumes that she's only doing this for Siegfried (and jealousy obviously plays a role here as well) I'm not completely sure.. if he really doesn't know more, but I think his reaction would be a little different then, but it's painful either way when the woman you love asks you to die, more or less indirectly and makes him feel even more and unwanted..
Tumblr media
That pain filled look and how he's close to tears and then what he says to her.. I have no idea how to deal with that.馃挃 To hear something like that.. definitely tears him apart inside.
Her expression also seems desperate and sad and I don't want to lose hope that she really meant it sincerely in some way.. but I'm not entirely sure about that, because we know from the past how shameless and cunning she can be to achieve what brings her closer to her goal. (Of course, she's being direct with him and not beating around the bush, but nevertheless.)
I mean, we always have to consider her situation as well, what a huge burden she's carrying and that she's actually trying to save everything and everyone, which of course more or less 'forces' her to do such things, that she has to make a few sacrifices to save the whole. I can understand that and I like Brunhilde, but nevertheless, especially when she has realized how he really feels for her and then manipulating him in a way and taking advantage of that.. is just not right.
Part 1 end~
