Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله:

"Whoever finds their joy in Salah in this life,

will find their joy in being close to Allāh in the Hereafter,

and will also find his joy in Allāh in this world.

Whoever finds his joy in Allāh will be content with everything, and whoever does not find his joy in Allāh,

will be destroyed by his feelings of grief and regret for worldly matters."

اللهم لا تجعل رمضان يمر كالريح. قُدِّر لنا التطهير، غيّرنا للأفضل، اغفر لنا ذنوبنا، وقربنا إليك

Allahım beni bu maddeleri hayatı boyunca uygulayan, geride hayatı boyunca uygulayacak evlatlar bırakan salih, sağlıklı, huzurlu zenginlerden eyle.

"Ey Rabbimiz! Unutur, ya da yanılırsak bizi sorumlu tutma! Ey Rabbimiz! Bize, bizden öncekilere yüklediğin gibi ağır yük yükleme. Ey Rabbimiz! Bize gücümüzün yetmediği şeyleri yükleme! Bizi affet, bizi bağışla, bize acı! Sen bizim Mevlâmızsın. Kâfirler topluluğuna karşı bize yardım et." (Bakara-286)

In preparation for Ramadan, we must remove hatred from our hearts and go into the blessed month with a clean heart. Forgive people for their shortcoming, it will actually make you a happier person once you let go of grudges.

Ramadān is derived from the word ramad [رمض] which means “to burn via intense heat”. This is because Ramadan is a means to burn away your sins through worship and good deeds. May Allah allow us to wipe away our sins this upcoming Ramadan.

Ramadan is not a temporary increase of religious practice, it is a glimpse of what you are capable of doing everyday. If you could do in Ramadan you could do it everyday insha’Allah
