Aslam M. Khan, MD, MRCP-UK, FACC, received his medical degree in 1958 at Maulana Azad Medical College/University of Delhi in Delhi, India, where he also completed his internship. Upon relocating to the United States, he served his residency at Helene Fuld Medical Center and the University Medical Center at the University of Alabama and then underwent his fellowship training at William Beaumont Hospital. Dr. Khan attained board certification in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease with the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is also a distinguished member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Medical Association, the American Society of Echocardiography, and the Royal College of Physicians. A fellow of the American College of Cardiology, he credits his extraordinary success to his work being his hobby and enjoying cardiology, especially critical care cardiology.
