Aubin shook his head, ruffling Aulaire's hair. "Non, I think that should be eet, right Aulaire?" She giggled and nodded. "Oui! Merci monsuier WIlliam!" She said waving. "Au Revoir!"

She blinked and giggled. "SIl vous plait?" Aulaire gingerly held the book, smiling as she opened it up. "Okay! I promise to take care of eet!"
"You're very welcome. Now, is there anything else I can do for you?"
The medic pulls himself to stand, dusting off his knees and straightening his uniform. Then proceeds to folds his hands behind his back and raise a questioning eyebrow.

Aubin chuckled. Aulaire smiled sweetly and hugged William. " Merci again monsuier! Um... If I could, can I borrow some books of yeors?"
"What's the magic word?"
He smiles, obviously teasing, then walked over to a box of his books the had not yet been unpacked. The girl would need something comprehensive and not too graphic, he picked out one focussing on bones, mostly drawn diagrams and not too complex, though that might just be him. It was quite thick.
"There you go, that'll do for now, keep it in good condition okay?"

She nodded. "O-Oh, okay! Merci!" Aubin chuckled. "Aulaire sort of wants to be a medic one day..." He explained.
"It's a good ambition, and if you try hard you can get there. I wish I had that sense of direction when I was young, would've really helped."
The medic chuckles a little.

her eyes widened happily, giggling. " M-Monsuier, could yeo teach me?"
"I would really really love to, but it takes so much time. Time that I don't have. Maybe when you are a little older, hmm?"
Hands moves back to his pockets.
"Perhaps you could come and watch from time to time, read some books in your spare time. Though if you want to watch I will warn you that it gets nasty sometimes."

Aubin's eyes widened. "O-Oh? Merci!" He smiled softly. "..." Aulaire glanced at William and carefully approached him. "M-Monsuier...? Are yeo a doctor?" She asked curiously.
"Indeed I am, though I don't really look the part."
He ran a hand down the back of his head almost self-consciously. William really didn't, if anything he looked like he should be a soldier. Stocky and not particularly tall, cropped hair and dog tags, skin littered with tattoos. Give him a helmet and anyone would believe it.

"Well, eet eez nice to meet yeo, WIlliam." Aubin replied. He blinked and looked down at the girl behind him and smiled softly. The girl blinked and shyly stepped from behind Aubin. "U-Um.... Bonjour Monsuier... My name eez Aulaire....U-Um...." She listened to his question. "...I-I am 9 years old..." Aubin nodded in agreement. "Eet's a long story of why she's 'ere..."
"Shy aren't you. I have a daughter back home, she turns five this year, if you want her off your hands for a while to somewhere safe there's always space here."
Hands moved into his pockets. He rolled his neck from side to side, savouring the relief the cracking joints provided.

Aubin smirked, approaching the medic. "Bonjour! My name eez Aubin, eet's a pleasure~" He flicked his cigarette filter to the side, blowing one last stream of smoke from his lips. A girl hid behind him, watching this mysterious new man.
A hint of disgust pulled at the doctor's mouth, he would admit that he smoked on occasion, but never inside, and certainly not in the space of someone he didn't know. The smell of smoke filled the previously untainted medbay and though he disapproved it was undeniably quite nice. He held back a comment at the filter. After all it would be swept up after the spy left.
"I am Doctor Archer, call me William if you wish. And who's this? A little young to be on the fields isn't she?"
William smiled, this time directly addressing the girl. The sight of her pulled a knot in his heart. Thoughts of a daughter he'd only seen pictures of tightened his chest, eyes flicked briefly to a dog eared photo on the desk.
"And how old are you Miss?"

"Oh?" She stopped to turn back around to answer his question. She did know somebody, but she wasn't sure if he was right for the job. "The only medic I know closely who might be able to help, is Gunther. His office is not too far from here. I'm not sure if he handles respawn chips though. You'll need to talk to administration about the matter first. I'm pretty sure they still handle chips. Mind you, I've not worked here in a long time. How my chips still works is amazing."
William made a note of the name on a stray piece of paper on the desk, his handwriting almost unintelligible, and underlining it with two sharp strokes, dog tags bounced on his chest when he straightened up again, the simple gold band on the chain hitting the rubber edges of the tags silently. After had finished writing he kept the pen in hand and twiddled it.
"They really are amazing. I have written permission for one, it's just about finding a man, if he cannot do it he will be able to say someone who can. Thank you for the suggestion, I am very grateful."

"Oh... do not not have a respawn chip yet?" Then again, when she thought about it, not every base did those and some mercs would refuse to have them for whatever reason. "Well, take care anyway, doc." She nods and smiles back before slowly sliding her hands into her jeans pockets.
"No, I was informed another medic could 'install' one for me. Take care Mags."
A hand came up to run through his hair short hair as he thought, on another note a thought popped up in his head that he'd have to shave the sides and back again sometime soon, the lengthening strands were starting to go wavy. Back on a more logical note, Mags had been here for longer than him and would probably be able to recommend someone to sort it out for him, he rolled the idea over in his head for a minute. The hand rested on the back of his head as he called her back,
"One last thing before you go: Is there a medic you know who could so it for me? Preferably someone reliable, and BLU."
