A mighty boy: review
This was a beautiful story about a very strong boy and the strong family who he left behind because of a brian tumor. Although heartbreaking, I knew what I was getting into and it was a beautiful memoir.

First, thank you so much for the insight into your family's life. This book was eye opening and have SO much information about nonbinary people. Wow. This book packed in so much research and information along with a memoir. This was a fantastic read!

This is not a love letter : review
I received this as an ARC in exchange for a review. I read the synopsis on Netgalley and was intrigued. honestly it took me awhile to get into the book because I was kind of put off by the writing style, but the story ended up pulling me in. it broke my heart a small bit and I ended up really liking this book!

All the wrong chords review.
as the book started, I really enjoyed it. my enjoyment kind of went down hill as Scarlett chased an obvious douche. The end redeemed this book some, but all in all, it was a relatively mediocre read. I received this as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The lives of desperate girls: review.
I started this book really enjoying it. I really enjoyed the mystery feel to the book, but the middle killed it for me. It turned into more of a semi-romance with some small pieces of mystery thrown in. Kind of disappointing. Meh.

The Border: Review
I was invited to read and review this book and to be honest I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about this book. The content was something that I don't usually choose, but I was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed this book and I learned a lot about the lives of people who choose to illegally immigrate to the US via the Mexican/American border. Living in the upper Midwest my entire life, I was aware of this happening, but never really knew much about it. I appreciate the insight this book gave me as well as the empathy that I have developed for those individuals having to deal with this experience. Thank you for inviting me to read this book, it was amazing and eye opening to say the least.

Sunshine Is Forever: Review.
This book deals with the reality of teen depression and suicide. The content is my go to read, but the Cowan was able to, while dealing with a serious topic, keep it serious but also add some humor. I enjoyed this book and want to thank Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this book as an ARC.

Protected: Review.
I loved this book. What a beautiful, yet heart- wrenching story about a girl dealing with the loss of her sister and dealing with the pieces the loss has left her family in. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this book as an ARC.

WILD BIRD: REVIEW.
I really enjoyed this book. this would be a great read for junior high students to start learning about what drugs&alcohol can lead to, even in young teens. I felt for Wren and enjoyed reading about her journey, heartbreak and triumphs. thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this book as an ARC.

Honestly, I struggled to get through this book. I felt as though there was no actual structure to the story and that made it difficult to read. It never wrapped up, just abruptly ended. I am an avid reader and I had a difficult time following this book.

I was really interested in reading this book because I work with children with special needs and getting insight on family life is always interesting to me. Teresa Sullivan did not disappoint with this memoir. It was a well written account of a girl's life with a special needs sibling. It always blows me away reading about how people with disabilities were treated in the past and this memoir added to that feeling. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book as an ARC

I really wanted to love this book. I was so excited because one of the characters was...on the spectrum, and I work with kids with autism so I was looking forward to reading this! the story itself was acceptable, but I really wasn't in to any of the characters. There was a lot of stereotypical "autistic" behavior, which I expected, and I appreciated the growth of the sibling relationship, but unfortunately this book didn't quite hit the mark for me. thanks Netgalley for the ARC!

This book hit me right in the feels. Granted, I have never dealt with the issue that was addressed in this book, but high school was rough, so I could identify quickly. I could tell that the author put a lot of effort into making sure that the story was accurately portrayed and it was also well-written which I appreciate. definitely not your run of the mill contemporary YA, and that I am grateful for. thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read an ARC of this title.

I generally enjoyed this book. It was very emotional and I could not even imagine having to deal with such heavy decisions as the main character, Mari, had to deal with. Unfortunately, the book contained a lot of Spanish/Dominican language, including slang, and did not include translations until the end, which made it mildly difficult to read and fully get into. I know that this is written from the p.o.v. of a fifteen year old girl, but the language and grammar, in general, was difficult to get past as well. All in all, it was an enjoyable, quick read.
