Lexie was busy sorting patient records in the ER when she heard a deep voice talking to her. At first she reacted noisily. “WHAT?” She answered frustrated for all that stress floating in the air, however she managed to calm down after two seconds. “I’m sorry, Mark … Eh … Dr. Sloan.” She corrected herself and shook her head before leaving a file on the stretcher and before looking into his eyes.

Certainly, she was aware that her relationship with the surgeon was only academic and friendly but she couldn’t keep her heart from pounding when she saw him so close.

“Well, I’ll go but if you look at my ass, I’m out.” She said as she held up a threatening finger.

Mark was down helping the Pit, it was all hands on deck to help. Multiple traumas came in thick and fast, it also meant anybody who needed a plastics consult, well.. Plastics was already on scene with him here. He sent the worst cases up first, in order to save, and reduce their scar tissue. Some people were badly burned, and needed his attention, but only after they were stable enough.
