oh baby I finally played Smile For Me like two years after everyone told me I would really enjoy Smile For Me! turns out, I really enjoyed Smile For Me!! get ready to see a lot of Habit drawings about it

Celebrating the [SPOILERS FOR UPDATED SMILE FOR ME ART BOOK!] namedropping of Grigory in the updated Smile For Me Art Book by trying to emulate Yugo's current art style with him!! 😭😭❤ I love this guy so much... Obviously I can't take credit for the Uncle AU concept (that goes to @/invader-bean and @/FUNKTROLLS on Twitter of course) but Grigory means a lot to me... 💞 I'm his biggest fan (imagine a little doggie with a big #1 Grigory Habit Fan foam finger) ! He's been a very special part of my life so this really meant a lot to see <:-]

Kamal: (leaning in from doorway; Putunia and Habit are at a table drawing together) Hey, uh - I can't believe I've never asked this but. Do, um... do you celebrate Christmas?

Habit (in Habitspeak): Oh! No, I am Jewish Kamal (offscreen): What!

Kamal: (covering his face with both hands) oh my god I'm so sorry I've been sending you Christmas cards for years- Habit (in Habitspeak): (waving a hand, trying to be reassuring) I-it's okay!!

Habit (in Habitspeak): To be honest, I haven't celebrated any holidays for a while (in regular speak) (...not since I lived in Russia, now that I think of it...) Kamal: (still hiding face behind hands) Still...

Habit (in Habitspeak, offscreen): Oh! Putunia!! What holidays do you celebrate? (Putunia looks up from her drawing)

Putunia (in all caps): Oh yeah!! Well we learned about Christmas in class!! But my parents said Christmas is for kids who don't yell and break stuff and get in trouble!!!!! So I didn't have presents or a tree or nothing!!!

Panels 3 through 5 contain a long chain of connected, segmented Kamal rambling as he gets progressively more anxious - in panel 3, he is looking back at Putunia with shocked realization; in panel 4, he is fanning himself with one hand with a nervous smile; in panel 5, he has both hands palm-to-palm in front of his face, avoiding eye contact with a tight humorless grin. Kamal: OH. oHhHhH no no no no no. nope. no that is. EXTREMELY not the case. like. at all, with this. I mean I should probably specify that legally I am her guardian this is not a random child I have. which. maybe doesn't sound like a big distinction. just. [text getting smaller] sorry the idea of producing a child from my actual human body is just a nightmare even in theory. Panel 6 cuts back to the three in line, with the woman looking taken aback by the rambling and Kamal looking incredibly anxious, with arms tight at his side and a smile that more resembles a grimace. Habit, wearing a pink sweater-vest over a light blue button-up, walks up behind him holding up a grey grocery basket full of various vegetables, smiling with sparkles around his head. Putunia has turned around to shout at Habit, fists in the air. Habit (in misspelled Habitspeak): Kamaaal look at all the veggies that were on sale (smiley face) Putunia (shouting): YOU AND YOUR VEGETABLES BEGONE, GREEN MENACE!!!

Panel 7 cuts in closer, showing the woman, Kamal and Habit from roughly the shoulders-up.
