I have something burning a hole in my brain and this this what I have so far:

Daroach develops strong feeling for his closest friend and he isn’t happy about it. In fact, the thief wasn’t even sure how it happened in the first place, but it happened regardless.

He vaguely asks DMK for his opinion on such romance one day and the knight makes it clear that he’s uninterested in the subject, so he decides keep it a secret.

Daroach avoids telling him for as long as he possibly could hoping it’ll fade overtime and it does, or so he thought. Eventually(due to plot specific reasons I won’t get into here), Dark Meta Knight starts to catch on and tries to confront him about it... Unfortunately it does NOT go well as it turns into a fight that ends in a stalemate instead. Daroach gets frustrated with everything leading up to this point and confesses his feelings towards the knight.
