“ I’ll be okay. “ He knew Ada wasn’t going to be direct about it, so he let it go. There was still little hope about the spy feeling free of saying whatever they needed to say. The lights flashed for a minute and Leon rose his gaze at the lamp hanging from the ceiling. He moved one hand over his scruff and looked back at Ada. Studying her gaze for a minute when she was looking away, but only to get caught by her eyes.
Leon got up and freed himself from his guns, checking twice and counting the bullets left, then he put both down on the table to repeat the same thing with his combat knife. His intentions were not by any means rushed, the DSO was forcing every remaining agent to investigate but luckily he always managed to do his own thing, at his own phase. People in the organization trusted him more than anyone, he did feel pressured sometimes, being labeled as the best when you are not working for the glory was considered really stupid and unnecessary for Leon. Maybe because of time and age. Back in the day, being known as the agent who had saved the president’s daughter had probably caused a development of confidence in him, but it changed his life completely. For now, Leon only felt lucky to be alive.
He escorted himself in the bathroom without saying a word until he reached the door. “ I have a feeling I’m only gonna use cold showers because of you.“ Leon teased but soon after rolled his eyes, “ Lucky me. “ he enjoyed being brutally honest with her. Ada loved to tease, playing games and he did love a good clap-back here and there but with unexpected answers. He revealed his toned torso by taking off his shirt but turned around leaving the door half open. He disappeared from her line of sight and let himself prepare for a relaxing shower.
Ada was perplexed by Leon’s behaviour. Half of their encounters involved them holding weapons on one another. They skirted the threat of violence, but neither of them acted on it. They’d been pitted against one another, but they never chased those leads. It was the perfect balance of give and take-... Even if Leon was often on the short end of it. Seeing him so casually remove his holsters and his weapons displayed something she’d never seen from the agent. He was showing vulnerability. Cracks in his resolve.
God, she wished she could do the same.
Ada smirked at his remark about requiring cold showers and gave a nonchalant scrunch of her nose. That was the point, wasn’t it? Dark eyes watched curiously as he made a show of his disrobing. His physique was impeccable, albeit more marked since they’d last had a ‘similar’ encounter. The time he spent in the field had done wonders for him. It was difficult to ignore.
When he closed the door, she exhaled slowly. She glanced around the empty room and clicked her tongue. “So that’s what that feels like,” she muttered to herself before turning her attention to the fridge. All this conversation had her parched. She soothed the ache in her throat with a glass of water and she leaned against the counter. Her eyes didn’t leave the bathroom door. She begrudgingly let him have his space with a huff into her glass. He certainly could dish it out. “You didn’t pass out on me in there, did you?” she called after a short while.

“ I don’t know. “ Leon back rested against the couch as his mind reflected on the events. Searching of a new pseudonym wasn’t a bad idea, but there was so much digging to do before getting really on the field and start searching for them, find out where they would be located and security things. That was probably Ada’s best skill since she was a spy.
Dealing with these stuff again was a lot to take in. Her question made him escape again from his thoughts. There was no point of rushing this process, it would only cause easy fails. “ Why? Got a date or something? “ He teased the woman, since she would always leave him at some point doing whatever what she would be doing. Now, in a more comfortable position, he added with a more serious tone in his voice: “ If we look at the bigger picture I say it’s better not to rush things, find as much as we can first. There’s so much involved, and I don’t wanna risk another attack for the survivors we gathered. “ His blue eyes shifted to the snow outside. Leon didn’t mind getting stuck in the apartment with Ada Wong, it was interesting, no dead to worry about, more importantly no guns pointed at each other. As he had always noticed she was more of an introverted type of person. He didn’t know if that applied only because she was a spy or because it was a trait from her personality. She was sultry, exotic and classy and that explained why he had always been so attracted to her. A partnership with his long-term spy seemed maybe one of the best he could have asked for, she was in this mess as long as him, which felt more of an intimate approach rather than a professional one. “ So, you really want me to stay here with you? “ Leon broke the silence around the two. It was out of topic, coming from him it felt more like a honest, personal question, implying more than that underneath. “ Or should I go? “ It was hard to catch Ada off guard, understanding her wasn’t an easy task, her eyes would mask a lot of feelings and that was something that Leon wished to break in, somehow. Looking in in her eyes wondering what she would think most of the time they happened to be together, then back at her rose lips, trying to find any sort of reaction to understand. Crashing at her place seemed odd and new for both of them, and knowing their relationship - it’s not like they were the type of people to do cute couple-y things together. Their feelings were not explained in the best way.
Ada figured he’d already have gone; payback for the dozens of times she’d left him hanging. Fair was fair, right? She was pleasantly surprised when he remained behind and taunted her with his query. Did she want him to stay there? Maybe. Would she ever admit it? No. She hummed quietly at the back of her throat and quirked up lips upward in response. It was a solid ‘yes’ from her if he’d ever received one. Dark eyes studied him for a moment. It was almost as if she were seeing him for the first time in a long time. He’d been so innocent in all of this from the moment they’d met; doe-eyed, clean shaven, still willing to find the good in the world. Parts of who he used to be lingered beneath the hardened exterior. She rather admired him for that. For maintaining his integrity through it all. Even Chris Redfield had fallen from grace at some point. Leon was just far enough away from the center of it, and she intended to keep it that way.
“You’re welcome to stay as long as you need,” she stated simply, “just don’t completely empty the fridge. The supplies should last another week.” Ada clicked her tongue. “Shower works, but the hot water’s limited. If you’re going to use it, make it count.” She’d call her contact in the morning. She seemed to be on a path of self-discovery through Leon, and she wanted to focus on it. Even if it was just for a fleeting moment.
The power flickered. Ada made a noise of acknowledgement. Maybe another infected individual got caught up in the wires again. Maybe the storm was threatening to knock everything out.
Her attention focused on Leon again. “Think you can stick it out for the night?”

rookieleon:
“ Oh, I did enjoy it. ” Leon admitted. A twenty-year old boy lived for the thrill of chasing a beautiful girl, unfortunately time had passed so fast and Leon wasn’t as naive as before. Raccoon City had only shaped him into the man and agent he had become. One of the reasons why he decided to not follow Ada in China was just because she could have taken care of herself easily, but in Raccoon City Leon had swore to protect her since the cop was fooled by her normal civilian look. “ I wanted to protect you, but now i’m sure you don’t need it. “
The storm outside only got worse and Leon expression changed in a concerned one. Even if he could bring Ada at his place, there was one little problem. The B.S.A.A. checked whoever would come in and out of the safe areas, and thinking about her old history with Chris Redfield, it didn’t seem like a good idea. “ Alright. ” The man let out a sigh and took his phone from his jeans pocket searching for the pictures he had collected from the last outbreak. “ It’s called the A - Virus made from Glenn Arias, a merchant who lost his wife and used his attack for vengeance purposes.” Leon moved closer on the couch, near Ada to show her a few pictures, scrolling with his thumb on the display. “ We have to look out for: A base and a trigger virus. This might sound familiar though, these zombies are like controlled by an Alpha, someone they take orders from. So in order to make them obey they need this trigger, i don’t think this is the case for all of them, at least not without the trigger virus. But i’m not sure which one they got their hands on. I remember hearing that he advanced the virus or something. ” The agent left his phone to Ada in case she wanted to see more and moved an arm over the couch wondering who had gotten their hands on this dangerous virus. “ There might be someone left from his team, or another form of terrorist organization that stole Arias’ research about the virus. “ Leon stopped for a few seconds thinking about the previous outbreak he had fought alongside Redfield, trying to not miss important details. “ It all started through gas, like the one in China who turned everyone in B.O.W.s with only inhaling it through air. We have to find a source, any lead that can make us understand if these people who own it now were close to Arias or not at all, maybe they are just a bunch of evil terrorists that like to fuck with the world. There’s has to be a lab that we missed or something.”
He didn’t like being clueless, he really wanted to help and these investigation were poorly managed still, his will of finding the bad guys didn’t fade just yet. Leon knew they were the best on the field to track these guys, maybe it will actually take weeks or even months, but giving up wasn’t an option now. “ That’s all i’ve got so far. “ It wasn’t much, a bunch of facts and speculation would help, even just a bit. Leon waited for her, his sight on the brunette.
Ada tried not to yawn. Bioterrorism. Great. Same shit, different day. She stretched out on the couch and leaned back in her spot as Leon presented his information. Glenn Arias. Trigger virus. Airborne pathogen. That part caused her brow to quirk upward. As awful as it sounded, she was impressed; it was one of the more sophisticated developments to come out of one of those operations in a long time. Syringes and test-tubes were so passé.
“Glenn Arias,” she repeated in a sultry purr, “I heard his own creation got turned on him. He mutated into some horrible monster and then bit the big one shortly after. Too bad. Any idea who did that?” Ada’s gaze fell upon Leon’s. She already knew that he’d worked with Redfield. Chris had let it slip when she sought him out earlier that summer. She needed Leon to know that he wasn’t pulling the veil over her eyes. He had to stay on his toes, and she was going to keep him there. After conveying this with the slight sharpening of her gaze, she folded one leg over the other and leaned near (but not against) Leon. The ghost of contact; close, but not quite. “If you’re looking for a lab, it shouldn’t be that hard to track down. They usually buy the property under a pseudonym. Probably a name of one of his financial backers. I can’t guarantee we’ll find anything, but it’s worth a try.”
Ada Wong and Leon Kennedy. Their partnership guaranteed several things. Fire, vehicle crashes, hasty escapes-… And they’d look damn fine while doing it. Sticking it to Chris Redfield and figuring this mess out would simply be a bonus.
“The question is-…How soon do you want to get started?”

“ I wouldn’t mind it. “ Truth was, Leon felt so tired of these outbreaks, he didn’t understand which side actually played the bad role. Was the government ever involved? Nothing clear about that unfortunately, it was one of his biggest unanswered questions. “ Shit’s getting worse, day by day. “ His tone was calm, deep, but there was a certain sadness into those words. After years of service, the weight of viruses and un dead he carried with him was getting harder to manage. Ada was offering him her help, which was something that Leon had never heard before from her in such a raw, real way. In the past, the agent was forced to flip an imaginary coin to guess if she was on his side or not, each time she would be somehow. It was safe to say that after all she trusted him as well. “ Sounds like we are going to be partners. “ Leon scoffed looking back at Ada. He peeked at her legs involuntarily when she moved. “ I got some files i could show you, about the virus, it might be interestingly boring. Maybe something i missed will catch your eye. “ He continued, his gaze already back in hers. There was barely anything about it from the D.S.O. but he really did need a hand. This conversation didn’t sound like a casual one at all, this was a real one about something they were willing to investigate together. Leon knew how smart Ada was, maybe the most intelligent woman he had met in his life, a quick thinker was really what he needed, but it would take time. He realized if they were going to do this they’d be sharing more days together. As much as he knew things between him and Ada will most likely never settle, there was something about their relationship that made him go back and want more of it. He never admitted his deep feelings for the other after Raccoon City. No girl had reached so far through his skin and mind like the spy sitting next him. Did he ever feel like opening his heart to the woman he loved and desired? Hell yeah, but it seemed hard to find the right time with someone like Ada Wong. Spending more time together seemed to lead in a dangerous area for them, something out of their typical confort zone. Now there was nowhere to go for her if she would stick by his side. “ Yeah, I’d love some fun. “ The agent tilted his head to her side as he spoke with a teasing look on his face. “ Just uh - don’t make me chase you. “ Leon added in frustration.
Partners. The concept was completely foreign to Ada Wong; she’d worked under Wesker to further her own agenda, but she always did it alone. For most of her adult life, the believed that the only person she could rely on was herself-… And then she met Leon Kennedy in Raccoon City. Their encounters were orchestrated by chance, but the development of their bond was completely chemical. There was something innately good about the man that (almost) made her want to be a better person. Her jobs were never a question of morality. She’d lived her life based on practicality and all it had gotten her was a few brushes with death and an international man-hunt. She almost smiled a little at the memory of the c-virus outbreak and how fervidly Chris Redfield had pursued her. Good times.
She did, however, smile at Leon’s comment about having to chase her. She feigned surprise and leaned back in her seat. “Don’t tell me you didn’t enjoy it at the time,” she replied. He probably hated to see her leave but loved to watch her walk away.
The matter was serious. If the BSAA wasn’t going to make strides to figure out who was behind this outbreak, then she supposed it was up to them. Public service. What a cliché. She peered out the window and noticed the increase in the snowfall. Had a storm been on the horizon? She’d been too busy tailing Leon to notice. “Is your place far?” she inquired, gesturing to the window with a flick of her dark eyes, “Because it looks like it might get rough out there. All my winter clothes are in storage.” She smirked. In storage, non-existent; it was all the same. “Why don’t you tell me what you know and we’ll-...Go from there?”

While stepping a little further with her, Leon’s hands moved on the counter behind Ada. She was still holding him with her delicate hands. The agent tilted his head to one side as a smirk grew on his lips, even if he tried to spill something out of her it’d end up being pretty vague. So was it really worth it now? He leaned forward reaching her right ear with his lips to speak, his blonde locks covering most of the features on his face. “ I’m not on duty. “ Leon clarified. “ Besides, I really don’t enjoy interrogations …or really my job lately. “ He added while looking back at her, he felt so fed up with the D.S.O. “ You don’t want me to break the mood with a zombie-chat, do you? “
A good explanation of their relationship never existed. It had been for so long a chasing game. They’d be able to set the whole building on fire just by looking at each other, the tension, the complicated feelings weather it was a true caring one or sexual. Leon felt that always. The spy was also someone he’d count on anytime. Ada was the enemy for most people, but not in his case. She appeared to be an ally and if it wasn’t always for love maybe also out of respect.
The man collected his thoughts for a moment before speaking. “ I trust you Ada. I do. “ His cocky tone had faded, he believed her. There was no point on doubting. She helped him so many times. Leon had risked his life for her, his job too. She was a spy after all, working for whoever raised the price the most, of course against the government and he an agent that happened to work for it, but jobs aside there was a deeper connections. Their survivors story wasn’t easy to erase. His world progressed in ironic ways sometimes. Having a real conversation with Ada would help him understand if this was just an on-going game of teasing. His lips were sealed now, he moved to the living area and sat on the couch wondering if she would follow. He removed his jacket and put it next to him. God, I need a fucking vacation.
Poor Leon. No matter what he was doing, bioterrorism always seemed to get in the way. Where there were incidents, Ada Wong was never far behind. It seemed that they were destined to be forever entangled like this; perpetually playing a game of cat and mouse until one of them surrendered to what had obviously formed between them. With Leon flopping unenthusiastically onto the couch, Ada supposed that the ball was in her court. She shook her head quickly and then joined him on the soft fabric. The furniture was brand new and rarely used. A blessing, she supposed.
She didn’t say anything for a short while. Leon trusted her. The revelation made her realize that she might trust him as well. It was terrifying. Finally, after what felt (to her) like an exceedingly long amount of time, she angled her body to face him.
“One of these days, our luck might run out,” she mused. She had a hand in the second-to-last outbreak. She’d known it was going to happen, but this-… This was something she hadn’t counted on. For once, she didn’t have all the answers. She wasn’t one step ahead. She was exactly on Leon’s level. A survivor. She respected him for his strong survival instincts, and she’d be damned if she was going to die without letting him know one way or another. “Looks like we might be in this one together,” she continued, tilting her head to the side and studying his expression. It was a multi-faceted comment. For once, she was offering her help directly. She refused to become another body in the casualty count (especially not before figuring out what ‘they’ were). “What do you say? It might be fun.”
She folded one long leg over the other and waited for his response.

Leon had encountered many women but none were like Ada Wong. Most of the times their roles happen to switch when they are together. He never understood how someone could actually make him feel this way. It wasn’t easy to take the Asiatic woman off of his mind after each time they would bump into one another. His hand moved on the back of his neck as his gaze tried to discover something else in the room to look at instead of her, he had treasured that object until now. Pull yourself together, man.
Leon’s journey wasn’t really described as pleasant one, lately he was starting to rely more on alcohol than people. His damaged look and scars were just one big story of how much unfortunate events he had lived through. So, when Ada walked dangerously close to him in the silent kitchen he was wondering what her real intentions were. Their lips touched, hers craving his. For a moment he had forgot that she was always moved by a motive, Leon didn’t really feel like stepping away yet, not until a sudden move of her hand made him question what she was doing. If this was a game he was up for it. “ What was that? “ His lips still attached to hers and his left hand placed between her chin and neck, with his thumb tracing Ada’s smooth skin. She was really good at distracting. “ I hope it was a gift for me. “ The D.S.O. agent joked. Leon’s baby blue eyes searched in hers while feeling the urge of flipping positions because he was literally cornered by her body but he let this one slip and stood still, with his back against the counter behind him. His mind and figure were playing too, making him feel some sort of adrenaline boost back inside of him, something that only Ada Wong was able to create. As much as he loved all women, in that sense, being able to kiss Ada was something that made him weak in his knees for so long and no one was able to replace that. His full body and mind were cracked by her, there wasn’t a logical explanation on how she possessed so much power over anyone, she was the definition of femme fatale and Leon was attracted to that. Leon’s hands gently moved to her waist. He wasn’t really interested in checking the item as for now, he was concentrated in other - stuff.
“When have I ever let you down where useful gifts are concerned?” Ada inquired with a playful, upward quirk of her lips. Her eyes were alight with mirth as he studied her. Normally she was all business. Something about Leon brought out the humanity in her. Dangerous – like playing with fire – and they were both utterly consumed by the flames. She’d asked him before if they’d ever carry on from where they’d left off, and it still lingered in the air around them. Fate always crossed their paths, but they never seemed to have a moment to-… Catch up. Infiltrations, deployments, bioterrorism—It all made for a complicated relationship.
And, twenty years after jumping into the fray, Ada had nowhere to go. She couldn’t leave him behind this time. It was all more real than it had ever been. She smiled despite herself. Maybe it was about time.
“So you’re really not here to interrogate me?” Ada inquired, “Too bad.” A beat of contemplation. Two. Her hands rested on his waist. Curious. “You’re chasing a dead lead. The DSO isn’t going to find anything here,” she told him, maneuvering her body to lean back against the counter. Gloved fingers ensured that he came with her. “I can’t tell you who’s behind this mess, but I’ve spent enough time with their type to know that they cleared out of here a long time ago.”
She watched him then. Her body language was surprisingly inviting, and so were her words. She supposed she’d find out what he was really after by his next move.

Leon pushed the door and closed it, following her order before moving to the kitchen area. His eyes glanced over at the woman in silence and understood that he could have thrown himself in whatever he liked. Leon didn’t wait, he walked around her to look through the different food in the fridge as if it was his house. After making a decent sandwich he thought about his canteen not being with him right now. Classic, in some specific situations like this one he really needed it, he actually felt too sober right now. “ Sorry to disappoint you. “ He was the best agent on the field for these outbreaks. Somehow he would always be involved, maybe because the weight of these situations started with them twenty years ago and Leon felt like he was carrying a responsibility since that very day. Even though this felt different, sometimes these viruses were evolving so fast for him to keep up. “ I’m just an investigator. The DSO is supposed to find out who actually caused this mess. “ Leon explained his role. His sight was targeting the sandwich meanwhile, which he devoured in a matter of a few minutes.
Leon only spoke after he had filled his stomach knot, changing subject on propose. If she wasn’t going to tell him her intentions in this then he wouldn’t reveal further more for now. “ I got something that you might need. “ A spy-kit disguised as a small make up compact was now on the counter. Leon didn’t really feel like explaining why he would have it with him hidden, maybe the reasons were obvious, it belonged to her and now he was finally able to give it back. It was mostly a symbol of how much they had each other’s backs, somehow Ada would always show up at the right time. Leon crossed his arms against his chest while examining her expression, she was such a beautiful enigma.
“Mm,” Ada purred in response to his role in the investigation. Yes. Who could possibly have intel on the individual behind this attack? Her expression remained nonchalant and she tilted her head to the side, wordlessly watching the DSO operative. He was a fracture in her external armor. She’d been taken with him from the moment they’d met, and he’d only managed to bury himself further under her skin. Her brow quirked up inquisitively at the object he slid over to her. Ada couldn’t help the smile. She averted her eyes and shook her head.
He’d kept the damn thing all this time.
Ada scooped the item up and opened it. The mirror allowed her access to her reflection, but that wasn’t the item of interest. She opened the secret compartment and was delighted to see that the chip was gone.
“I guess you found what you were looking for,” Ada stated. She closed the device, placed it upon the counter and hopped off it herself. She approached the light-haired male and studied him for a moment. For once, she couldn’t get a beat on him. “I owe you one for getting it back to me safely,” she mused. Before he could say anything - even if in support or protest - she leaned forward and touched her lips to his. As with anything Ada Wong did, there was always an ulterior motive. She slipped a seemingly inconspicuous item into his jacket pocket as her lips moved against his. The item was small, virtually weightless-... She hoped he’d discover it only when he needed it.

Leon let his guard down, after a couple of seconds the door closed and he was pinned against the cold wall by the spy. Feeling her touch through his body like that wasn’t actually how he had envisioned. “ If this was an excuse to touch me, you could’ve just asked, you know. “ Her body was so close to his that for a moment Leon’s thoughts abandoned him, at that point he joked as she let go, he fixed his leather jacket, now opened. He looked down at his black shirt under while letting out a sigh. He carried with him just a couple of clips for his two handguns, something that he decided to carry with him just in case. No phone, no way to reach him, even if had encounter hordes of zombies and was in need of help he didn’t want it, his mind really demanded peace lately. “ Happy now? “
Ada Wong was never mentioned in his old reports, so there was no reason of fearing that he’d happen to be there to bring danger, it really wasn’t in his style to put a lady in a bad situation, but Leon let it go. If she wanted to be so sure about anyone reaching in and finding her location with whatever device, fine, he was used of letting slide whatever thing Ada would be doing to ensure her spy-life, deep down he wanted her to be safe too. He looked again at Ada sinuous figure as she left the elevator and disappeared from his sight. The agent followed the woman inside her place after re-collecting his thoughts from her recent actions. “ Is this a sneaky way of asking me to move in with you? After twenty years, man you sure like to take your time, sweetheart. “ The man had his moments filled with cockiness, but underneath it all right now, it was a defensive act of restoring himself after the wall situation and turning the moment into a stupid joke. After laying his eyes on the new scenario, he understood what Ada meant, the place really looked safe and sound, quiet too, unlike his that was just something improvised for the agents in the safe areas.
Ada quirked a brow at his question. Cute. If there was any one word that could define them, it was not ‘domesticated’. She knew that was joking as a defense mechanism; she left him flustered and he always managed to compromise her. They were complex, fevered and dangerous.
“Close the door behind you,” she replied in her usual sultry purr, pointedly ignoring the question. Ada immediately set off for the kitchen knowing very well that Leon would follow her. She offered her full amenities to him with a shift of her eyes toward the fridge. Raid at your leisure, her eyes declared, I’ve never made you a sandwich in twenty years, and I’m not about to start now.
Their time together was infinite and yet there never seemed to be enough of it, so she got straight to the point. “You want to tell me why you’re out this way?” Ada inquired, perching herself on the counter with a simple movement of her arms. “From what I understand, Big Bad Chris Redfield and his men have got this place locked down pretty tight. Don’t tell me that you got caught up in this too, because I can’t always be around to save you.” She’d prepared for any of his counter-inquiries. As far as anyone knew, Ada simply didn’t get out in time. They didn’t need the truth. No one did. Not yet.

He knew this situation would be a once in a lifetime moment, it was incredible to think now that Leon and Ada knew each other for almost twenty years. The more time passed and the more he would seek her presence deep down but somehow their relationship was not familiar with the word closure. His priority right now was also to take in whatever information Ada knew. “ You know me. “ The only sound Leon focused on was the snow underneath their feet for a while he was tempted to say something but the fear of ruining this situation got to him. He was excited to see in what kind of contest Ada Wong would go back to every time she left him. “ It did, but there’s no point if I got no food to carry back home with me. So i’m good. “ Leon accepted Ada’s invite inside, the building looked like a normal - boring one, it didn’t stand out from the block and it didn’t surprise him, she was a spy after all and the less attention attracted to her the better. The entrance looked to lead directly into a parking area and ironic as it was, Leon never forgot his first encounter with her, the feeling of wanting to know more about that woman dressed in red and eventually bring her to safety at the end of that one nightmare called Raccoon City, then failing when they parted after her fake death. When Leon stepped inside, Leon stopped in the elevator already present and waited her to bring him to the right floor. “ So, wanna tell me what’s your actual business here? “ The agent broke the silence knowing what kind of answer was coming, but trying didn’t hurt.
She allowed him inside. The threshold was a boundary they’d never crossed; a personal line that had always separated them. When the doors to the elevator parted for them, Ada let him enter first and then, the moment the doors closed behind him, she’d pinned him to the wall. A strong thigh held his hips in place and Ada offered him a sly smirk. What, her eyes inquired, you thought you’d waltz in without a pat-down? Delicate hands grazed his pockets to ensure he wasn’t packing anything other than what she’d seen – bugging devices included – and, when she was satisfied, she pulled back and released him with a wink.
Ding. The doors opened again and they had arrived on her floor. The mysterious woman backed out of the elevator and then led him down the hall-… Provided he wasn’t too flustered by the surprisingly intimate weapons-search.
“Since most people are in the quarantine zone, this whole building’s uninhabited. We’ve got the place to ourselves,” she called over her shoulder, “heat works, and so does the water-… It’s not a bad set-up for an apocalypse, if you ask me.” The door to the unit she primarily occupied was open a moment later and she stepped through without hesitation. She was already in too deep, there was no backing out now. “You coming, handsome?” She peered over at him curiously before disappearing from view.
Some things never changed.

The spy expression told Leon that she really did bring bad news, he really just wanted some food and now, he was left with a block raided, cleaned and full of un-dead people wondering around “ Huh, just my luck. ” Leon stood still while placing his gun on the belt with the safety back on.
His blue eyes were locked on Ada’s figure as she walked closer, not feeling in danger at all in her presence. Leon felt her breath against his neck as she spoke into his ear, suggesting him to follow her which was something that Leon didn’t think that it would actually happen one day, it never really happened since the woman was always so mysterious and hard to understand. “ Let’s not waste any more time. ” His head tilted to one side and then, he pushed the door for both, waiting for the woman to take the lead. This situation felt so out of the ordinary, one-on-one time with Ada Wong? It wasn’t even his birthday yet, but Leon wasn’t gonna let this offer go.
His acceptance was hardly surprising, but caught Ada by surprise. She stepped through the threshold of the door with the grace and sway of a woman who clearly enjoyed having the upper hand. She was so used to exiting a situation as quickly as she’d entered, but something about Leon’s eyes always made her hesitate. At first it was a fraction of a second. And then a moment. And then a breath. And now, she was bringing him to her safe-house. The irony wasn’t lost on her; how the times changed.
“So very like you to want to get straight to the good part,” she mused with a slight smirk, slowing down to fall into stride with the broad-shouldered man, “eager’s a good look for you.” Her words weren’t embellished. He wore excitement as well as that leather jacket. The wind picked up and chilled her through her thin jacket. She stiffened, but didn’t react too visibly. Dark eyes scanned the surrounding area for more infected. When she was satisfied that there were none, Ada peered over at Leon with amusement in her eyes. “Let me guess: Your ride blew up on the way here?” Ada inquired, her eyes alight with amusement, “Too bad. Looks like we’re walking. This way.”
She led him down the block with little regard for through-traffic. This was different-… Interacting with him. Their weapons were holstered, the threat of danger was low and she felt so very exposed. Hm.
When they arrived at the inconspicuous-looking building, Ada opened the door, leaned against it and tilted her head to the side to invite Leon inside.

When Leon heard a groan behind him he turned just in time to see an arrow on the long gone civilian, he eventually fell down at Leon’s knees and he moved around him recognizing that specific arrow. The man had probably died freezing in the cold, he looked like a real life popsicle to Leon. Ada Wong, if that even was her real name, was a past memory, and everytime Leon would stumble upon the beautiful asian he felt like a teenage boy with his crush. Unfortunately, year after year Ada only made him more clueless, is she evil, is she good? He couldn’t tell, but the agent knew that with him there was no doubt she’d protect him, it was so complicated. Leon looked right in the woman’s eyes, not surprised. “Ada. Did we plan a date?” He smirked while placing his cold hands in the leather jacket pockets. Truth was, the only two people who knew whatever spark was still going between them it was just them. “Unless you’re talking about chicken wings, i’m not sure i feel like hearing it.” The man walked to the glass door and leaned against it with his back and let out a sigh. “But, let’s give it a shot.”
The sound of her name made maintaining her smirk much easier. He spoke it with such trust and conviction; it always made leaving him behind more difficult. She approached him when she felt it was safe to do so. She moved so confidently, even in the face danger.
“This place was raided a long time ago,” she declared nonchalantly, a delicate and practiced hand resting on her hip, “and so was every other place on the block. A shame, really-- I’m sure almost all of them have turned by now.” Ada ignored the obvious irony of the situation. Bioterrorism was rampant throughout the world. It was hardly a new development, and yet citizens were always unprepared for the next outbreak.
She approached Leon further until she was standing immediately before him. The tips of her boots nearly grazed his, and she doubted that he’d mind her close proximity. Cool lips ghosted over his ear. “I’ve got a place nearby,” was all she said before she turned on her heels. Her gloved hand rested against the door of the establishment and she peered back at him. Her eyes promised food, information, and everything in between. A silent invitation and a new precedent; she’d never allowed him to follow her before.

Who: 𝐋𝐞𝐨𝐧 𝐒. 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐝𝐲 & Ada Wong Where: 𝑵𝒆𝒘 𝒀𝒐𝒓𝒌 𝑪𝒊𝒕𝒚 What: Looking for dinner(??)
The city was relatively calm, maybe the snow was the real reason for it. The cold temperature was increasing and the fact that it was getting late meant: it would only get worse. He had to move. The agent decided everything alone, take his car and venture outside the safe areas to look for more food and medical supplies. He always thought it was better not get other people involved, deep down he didn’t want to have another bossy girl around telling him where to go and what to do. Maybe Leon was getting wiser but not more patient, by the time he reached the center of the city the car broke down and the engines stopped. “This - doesn’t surprise me.” he talked to himself, as usual. Leon was forced to leave the car downtown and go on foot. No infected on sight, for now. He decided to go only for food so, when the first grocery store met his eyes he walked in with his 9mm gun ready. As soon as the agent stepped in he noticed that the place looked already clean. No cans on the shelves, the counters looked empty too, no sign of medical supplies or beverages either. People were so desperate that as soon as the outbreak became public in September they cleared everything every fucking time, afraid that something would lurk in the shadows again the next day. “Great. Who do i have to sell my soul to this time to get some dinner?”
Poor Leon. He always managed to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Had it not been as habitual as inhaling and exhaling, the red-clad spy might have simply overlooked the man braving the sub-zero temperatures in search of food. She observed his behavior carefully from a distance and couldn’t help the smirk that curled her lips upward. It was so very them. Their closeness rested in distance; him reaching out as she glided away. Maybe some day one of them would triumph in their game of cat and mouse-...
A citizen approached the unsuspecting DSO agent from behind and drew her attention. Their erratic movement patterns suggested either hypothermia or infection. She refused to chance it either way and drew her crossbow. Gloved fingers expertly loaded the weapon, and she was hardly hindered by the temperature. A moment to aim, and she fired.
She struck the individual in the arm. The arrowhead shattered the window, pierced through the flesh and embedded itself in the nearby shelving. Ada had done this to signal her presence as well as to let Leon realize that he’d let his guard down as she approached. She knew he could hold his own against the trapped individual as she aimed her grapple at a nearby light fixture. She fired, the hook latched around the pole and she swung onto the scene with agility she’d demonstrated in the past. Heels clicked against the ground as she entered the store with a sly grin.
“I’m always cleaning up after you,” she noted, placing the hookshot onto her belt and folding her arms over her chest. Ada noted the empty shelving and then peered carefully at Leon. He didn’t seem injured, so he was probably after food. “You’re not going to find anything but trouble here,” she stated “but I have something that might interest you.”

“Likewise,” It was more than once Ada just happened to bail Helena out of whatever trouble she’d managed to get herself into. She was grateful for the calm and composed spy. Though their introduction was rocky, Helena couldn’t have expected Ada would come through the way she did.
If she hadn’t, then maybe it would be two empty coffins the DSO would have to foot the bill for. Besides, Helena had come to realize that it wasn’t her sister that Ada killed, just one of Simmons experiments. With that in mind, Helena had moved on to trust Ada and her judgment. She’d really come through for them in China.
She laughed, cocking a hand to her hip in good humor. It definitely sounded like a nice way to wind down, and catch up. One thing she learned from Leon, was that Ada always seemed to know more than everyone else and that she liked her privacy. “Sounds like a plan. Let’s go - before one of us gets called into a job.”
Had it been Leon, Ada might have called it a night and fled the scene already. She enjoyed toying with the clueless agent (he always seemed so surprised). There was a strange sense of camaraderie with Helena that compelled her to keep her feet on the ground. For now. With a smirk, she angled her head to the side and started down the driveway. Her wrists burned lightly as the wind kissed her chaffed skin and she glanced down at the rope marks as they walked.
“Thanks for that, by the way,” she stated. She could physically feel her pride take a hit. “I had it under control, but I’ve got to keep you on your toes somehow.” A barely-visible wink was offered.
The gate to the facility opened easily enough - had these people never heard of proper security? - and gave them access to the street. There was hardly traffic and, given the time of night, Ada wasn’t surprised. She was grateful for it; the less people that spotted her, the better. The only open establishment beckoned them like a moth to the flame.
A spy and an agent walk into a bar-...
