'The many faces of Jang Man-Wol'
Finally finished this piece for Hotel del Luna, I loved IU's character so much, she's such a badass and a litteral fashion queen, so many outfits to choose from!
The show was a lot of fun to watch, whether it's singing or acting, Lee Ji-Eun is amazing and I will definitely make more fan art of her!

Some quick sketches reimagining Delilah Copperspoon as the protagonist of Dishonored 2.
I got the idea a while ago when I realised D2 is kinda pro monarchy. I think Delilah would make a great protagonist if she were rewritten to be less cartoonishly evil and given slightly better motivations.
I've kinda spent way too much time thinking about this, lol. I feel like I'm writing fan fiction.

Breaking my hiatus to bring everyone’s attention to the fact that Cornwall is now attempting to be officially recognised as a nation within the United Kingdom.
Kernow has its own language, culture, history and identity. The language was forcibly removed by the English until the last monolingual speaker died in 1777–her name was Dolly Pentreath. It has existed as a kingdom before England had ever existed. Historically, Cornwall has been a place exploited for minerals and resources and labour. Currently, it still is. There are now ghost towns where once thriving fishing villages stood (Mousehole, Pentreath’s home, was one of these). Cornwall is now a playground for second home owners who drive up house and rent prices and drive out permanent residents and workers. Local businesses go out of business and struggle to stay afloat when the influx of tourists come who only purchase from supermarkets, putting nothing into the local economy. There is a long, long and often very gruesome and bloody history behind this—leaders of rebellions executed all the way into 1715.
If you are in the UK, and sign the petition to get this to a debate in Parliament.
Can you spare 60 seconds to sign

The apothecary diaries made me realize something very interesting about how women perceive power...
I can't be the only one who noticed that in stories written by women power is often compared to a prison or a cage meanwhile in the ones written by men it's mostly fun and freedom.
It is that women tend to see power as more of an responsibility and men think of it as the ability to do whatever they want?
The apothecary diaries made me think of it first. I discovered with surprise that I actually like the emperor, which I almost never do. Any guy that has relationship with more than one woman at once tends to disgust me, especially if he's in a position of power but for some reason not him.
Because the emperor is as much a prisoner as the 2000 women in the rear palace. Maybe even more because as long as he doesn't touch them, they're allowed to leave.
Like on one hand, he's the most powerful man in the empire. He calls the shots, right?
But on the other hand, he can't even properly protect Lishu from being sold to some pedofile by her father. The only way he could protect her was to make her his concubine and how f*cked up is that? She's like a daughter to him and the only way he could protect her was by marrying her? And then he couldn't even spend time with her anymore because that would be read wrong.
It's the fact that 3 of his children died because there was no proper medic to save them due to the fact that they don't allow non eunuchs to treat them and forbid women practicing medicine... when he doesn't even care about that. He hasn't blinked once at Maomao running around the inner palace and being a doctor.
At first when I was watching the story I thought of how horrible it was that he didn't even visit Lady Lihua after their son died. But then it made me think of how he's literally not allowed to get attached because of his position and how hard it is for him? The fact that he couldn't even provide enough support for Lady Ah-Duo so she doesn't lose her uterus? The fact that she switched their baby with his brother and he had to watch his son grow up "away" from him?
There's so much more to this, especially with Jinshis approach to power and I could go on an on but I think I made my point.
And when I started comparing the stories written by women to those by men... Women tend to write power as more of a burden than a gift.
After watching TAD I watched solo leveling.
And for those of you who don't know, it's basically a story about a guy who suddenly "discovers" that he's like a character in a game (not exactly but it's be too long to explain) and basically finds out that he has endless potential and over the course of the story he becomes the most powerful being in the entire universe.
And there's a moment where he's talking to his little sisters friend that gets very misread as something inappropriate by another character.
This other character points out, kindly, to Sung Jinwoo that the girl is a minor.
Sun Jinwoo doesn't understand so he just looks at him and asks "so?".
And so the guy immediately gets scared and never mentions it again despite the two of them being friends.
This moment is kind of played for laughs. Nothing actually happened, Sung Jinwoo is a good guy so he wouldn't.
But he could. Nobody could do anything to stop him.
And when I watched that I laughed too. But then I thought of how terrifying that is. To have someone be so above the law, this untouchable. Who can do anything he pleases because no one will ever stop him.
But that's never actually adressed in the show other than to show us how cool this is.
It this was written by Natsu HyĹŤga there'd probably be a million different situations to show us how fucked up this is and how it weighs on the main character.
In the apothecary diaries Jinshi doesn't even want to ask anything directly of Maomao because he doesn't want her to interpret it as an order.

Did you know that horses are still used for logging? Not just as a way to keep traditional handicrafts alive, but because horses are genuinely better at some jobs than machines?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Horses are much gentler on sensitive ecosystems, they're more flexible in rocky terrain, and they don't topple over on a hillside.
They can enter dense forests and drag out one specific tree without damaging the other trees and without compacting or eroding the soil.
They also run on hay instead of gas or electricity. Horses don't pollute the ecosystem with either oil leaks, gas stench, or noise.
Tumblr media
In conclusion, draft horses are awesome c:

I think something that gets overlooked when people talk about widow Annie is that she’s been expecting and planning for this for over half a year now. they had to know he was getting reaped the moment they announced the Quell and while Finnick is very physically fit and sponsors would love him I think she’d know better than to assume he’s a guaranteed winner. Obviously they have that window of hope in 13 that they’d both live happily ever after but even then he’s now a soldier in the middle of a war so i can’t imagine the idea of him dying left her mind completely. The baby was most likely be a shock and would have shifted whatever future she had planned for herself but I would have a hard time imagining she didn’t have some sort of life plan in place for herself outside of him. If she can’t or doesn’t want to live alone because of her symptoms, she may have already found an alternative living situation months before for if Finnick died. A lot of post series headcanons about Annie are often her being taken care of by the other victors, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with being taken care of by others, everybody will eventually need help from somebody but, I don’t know that she’d be in as much of a shocked state that people imagine or that she wouldn’t be even more prepared than the average survivor coming out of the war

Flocking sketches from last week! I just wanted to draw clouds. Gonna do a personal theme next time too, but the theme itself is a secret for now 👀 I worked a little on them after the stream, so some of them are 30min instead of 20. Here are: Zhejiangopterus, Bolg amondol, Diplobune and Iberomesornis. More info in ID as always!
