#SayHerName: Florida Police Viciously Beat 14-Year-Old Black Girl for ‘Resisting Arrest’

WFLA reports that Coral Springs police have come to the defense of the unidentified officer, saying that the young teen was “unruly” and part of a group (you know they wanted to say “gang”) who were allegedly harassing patrons at a mall.

“Upon meeting with security, an officer was stopped by a mother, who indicated her 5-year old child was shoved to the ground by one of the teens,” Coral Springs police said, according to the outlet. “In addition, mall security indicated one of the female teens (arrested) was seen striking another teen patron.”

It continues:

The teens were given a no trespass warning, but two of the teens returned to the mall. One of them, a male, was arrested without incident, but police said the girl seen in the video “began cursing, attempting to incite the other teens,” and resisted arrest when officers tried to detain her.

One wonders how she was trying to “incite the other teens”?

In an attempt to copsplain their actions, in a statement, Coral Springs police claim the teen “violently kicked” the officer after she was placed in handcuffs:

“Due to her stature and aggressive behavior, officers took her to the ground attempting to get her to release her fists. As seen in the video she resisted arrest, and in order to have her to comply she was struck in the side to release her clenched fists—she was then handcuffed.”

“The officer’s actions were 100 percent within policy, legal and were not excessive,” Dept. Chief Brad McKeone told reporters, according to CBS Miami.

The incident was put on Instagram by a person identifying herself as the girl’s cousin, Victoria Cedeno.

The 14-year-old  Florida teen was arrested and charged with battery on an officer, trespassing and resisting arrest, and taken to the Broward County’s Juvenile Assessment Center.

The girl’s lawyer, Meeghan Moldof, told NBC Miami, “Immediately watching the video, I could not believe what I was seeing. To me, it’s very clear it’s excessive force. There’s no reason for him to hit her.”

Moldof said the girl’s mother, Jessica Dennis is considering filing a lawsuit against the police department. Dennis says the “video was difficult to watch.”

Okay wait just a fackin minute!!

So we know about Strat 6 right?? What if the name “Strategos Six” isn’t just a name? What if ‘Strategos’ is a specific type of follower, a type that acts as the assistant or right-hand-man to Titan? And this one - the one we’ve seen so far - is just the sixth version of that?

I started thinking about this because I still really like the whole ‘Magpie is Six’ theory even though it’s pretty convoluted. But let’s just say we’re trying to prove this for argument’s sake, right? It might be possible that the Strategos we saw at HQ was the same Strategos that saved Gil when he was a child, about 15 or so years earlier (he was 4 when he died), but what if that was another Strategos? Maybe they all have a specific build? 

Okay, so here’s a possible hint that the Strategos we saw in Gil’s memory was a different Strategos… while they both have very similar hairstyles (I’d argue the Strategos in Gil’s memory has curlier hair but I’m sure that’s just a stylistic thing), look at the hands:

If this is implied to be Strategos (which I firmly believe because they were in the previous panel) then why does Strategos have different hands here? 

Their gloves are sleek, and don’t have the indentation that Gil’s recollection does. Could Strategos have had an outfit change over the course of 15 years? Totally. Maybe Strategos has a different outfit for when they’re putting on a show vs. when they’re saving small children? Sure.

OR… This is an old version of Strategos. Like Strategos 5.0… before they got an update. Where they became a newer, sleeker version of their old self. Hence this Strategos being the sixth one. 

Not sure if anyone’s talked about it on here and if so, sorry for rehashing something that seems obvious… but thought I’d throw this out there.

My disdain for cops is institutional, not individual. Just because you may have a positive personal relationship with someone who is a cop doesn’t change the fact that the law enforcement system in this country is rooted in white supremacy and is used to repress and control the working class while protecting the elite.

All cops have signed up to enforce a system which is oppressing marginalized people in this country on a daily basis. Your personal relationship with an agent of oppression does not change this fact.
