I was stuck in a power outage around the time I decided to draw a chunky chilchuck, and that long time in the darkness let it grow it's roots into my brain...

PLEASE STOP AND LOOK! Help This Ghazzawi Family!
Eslam is a teacher and a young mother of 2; Hanaa (age 5) and Ana (age 1). Since last year, she and her family have been fighting to survive the siege on Ghazzah.
She and her family lost their home to the bombings, displacing them all to a tent. The unhygienic conditions have caused both of Eslam's children to develop skin diseases.
Medicine and soup are extremely expensive in Ghazzah, $30 a bar; since Eslam's husband Rasmi had his place of work bombed, these prices are are completely unsustainable.
In order to help support their daily life and be able to evacuate, they need to raise $50,000 USD. So far, they've only raised $14,262 USD; their last donation was 4 hours ago.
Everyone, please contribute what you're able; donate if you can and share their campaign. Everything helps.

Please donate to Eslam family!
“My name is Eslam from Gaza, I’m 29 years old, and I’m a children teacher from Khan Yunis in the Gaza Strip. a mother of two daughters, Hanaa 5 years old, and Alma, 10 months old. My husband Rasmi is the director of 3 language and training centers. In this war, our house was completely destroyed and razed to the ground, and my husband’s centers were blown up. He lost his job, and we were completely displaced, and we are now homeless and jobless, My two young daughters constantly suffer from diseases due to malnutrition and water pollution.
Danger and death surround us all day and all night. We have lost everything and depend on donations to survive and, most of all, to have any hope of escaping this genocide and evacuating to safety in Egypt. The cost of daily living continues to rise significantly in Gaza - imagine that we cannot find the type of milk for our daughter because of its high price. There is no kind of detergent and this is the cause of skin diseases for my two little girls. We bought a piece of soap for $30! ، and detergent is 100$"
As of 8:46pm November 11, 2024 (GMT+8) $31,955 raised out of $50,000

My people I don’t even know how to tell you people this. I am still in shock I am still covered in blood. I and my friend were violently arrested by French police, we were detained for 3 days in the worst jail, solitary confinement, no food, no water, jus the smell of piss, me and my friend started our periods and were drenched in our own blood. They refused us enough sanitary products. The Police accused us of being freedom fighters for recording undercover police as they pressed on the neck of a black man. They had a blue lives matter flag in their office. They profiled us and claimed we were hoodlums because of our locs. They told us we are no one. We are not hero’s. This is not America. They brutalized us on the streets. Kicked my friend in the mouth, kicked me in the stomach… I do not know how I did not lose my mind, I spoke and sang to my ancestors, this is what we have long been fighting against

It's with a heavy but hopeful heart that I watch Palestinian families fundraise on here, slowly accumulating the precious little money to go around that they need to survive. However, not everyone is so lucky. A lot of Palestinians that have not had that kind of luck, that did not get early verification, that did not get massive platforms behind them from large bloggers, have approached me in my inbox, asking me kindly to do what I can for them. It kills me that I have so little to give myself, but I've seen this platform collectively raise enough to change someone's life. I've made a list of Palestinian fundraisers that are extremely low on funds, in the hope that drawing attention to people who have not been lucky at all can help turn that luck around. I know most of us can't possibly give enough to get all of these families safe in one go. But please, reblog this list. Pick one or two fundraisers, give what you can, and then keep track of it. Slowly, collectively, we can make a difference in these people's lives. Share and donate as much as you can.
