DAY 2 (22/11/14) - as if going to paris in the first place wasn't enough of a celebration. the next day we visited the land of happiness - paris disneyland! had such an amazing time being little kids again and getting overexcited by the stunning disney castle, bubble snow falling from the sky, oversized ice creams, oversized animals and all the rides! already want to plan a re-visit - november 2014

PARIS EXEAT WEEKEND
DAY 1 (21/11/14) - aw you know just casually decided to pop over to paris for the weekend ;) happy birthday hayley! had the best day re-exploring all the iconic parisian sights, eating nutella crepes, giving the ridiculous selfie stick a work out and finishing off with a sunset picnic of cheese, ham, baguettes and 1 euro wine under the eiffel tower. couldn't think of a better way to celebrate this girls special day - november 2014

DAY 8 PART 2 (01/10/14) - literally as I was walking out of the museum, I ran into a guy we had befriended from our hostel, todd! yipeeeee, company again, I'm not sure I'm cut out for solo travelling! todd kindly adopted me as a buddy for the afternoon and after grabbing a quick coffee together we explored the main touristy shopping areas and the huge castle by the water! was such a good afternoon and definitely a good send off before I had to head to the airport for a dodgy sleep leading up to my painfully early 6am flight home the next day! thank you italy for delivering us with such an amazing half term holiday! kudos to soph, jacinda, hayley and annie for making it what it was. so much funnnn - october 2014

DAY 8 PART 1 (01/10/14) - saying goodbye to my friends who each flew home that morning, I had the majority of the day to bum around by myself and explore naples some more! being the massively #cultural and #sophisticated chick that I obviously am I decided to take myself off to the archeological museum. was pretty impressive with massive amounts of ancient statues and monuments extracted from both pompeii and herculaneum scattered throughout the museum. was a little bummed as I was hoping to see heaps of creepy, encased bodies that were said to have been preserved in the city of pompeii when the huge eruption occurred, but I couldn't find a thing (maybe I just got lost). it genuinely was interesting though with loads of cool works! - october 2014

DAY 7 (31/10/14) - eh eh ooh eh ooh, guess who popped over to POMPEII today! had the coolest day roaming around this ancient city with my 4 ladies. so much history all in one place. bath houses, amphitheatres, residential houses and brothels. looooads of brothels. these pompeii-ians were a randy bunch i'll tell ya that. pleeeenty of scandalous 'erotic' rooms in their brothels to keep the locals happy. so funny and we learnt so much just wandering through the crumbling walls. was such a cool experience! - october 2014

DAY 6 PART 2 (30/10/14) - although our hearts were still aching from saying goodbye to positano, we instantly felt better once meeting up with these two cuties, hayley and annie for a port reunion in naples! we took them to our favourite neapolitan locals who ran the pizza bar just down the road and were met with massive grins of recognition, in house entertainment as they serenaded us with their guitar and accordion and free traditional lemon desserts! and who said naples was scary, these guys rule! - october 2014

DAY 6 PART 1 (30/1014) - last day in positano :( have had such an amazing time in this stunning town! we experienced constant genuine italian hospitality where ever we went, the locals were always kind to us, more than willing to help out with directions whenever we got lost (which was veryyyyy frequently, damn those 842 steps) and we were definitely going to miss waking up to our amazing ocean view each morning! grudgingly we said goodbye and headed off back on the bus to naples! - october 2014

DAY 5 PART 2 (29/10/14) - after carb loading on our delicious pizzas, we took another bus up through the rocky mountainside surrounding amalfi and toward the tiny town of ravello! our bus was one of those super tacky red tourists buses (which blind you with their peppy vibrancy as they pass you by) and didnt have a roof, so by the time we got to ravello we were freezing, wind blown and huddled together for warmth. the dodgely translated english tourist info being fed through our earphones was defs worth it though ;) after sprinting into the nearest coffee shop and defrosting with a hot choc, we explored the markets and admired the stunning sunset view before heading back to positano! - october 2014

DAY 5 PART 1 (29/10/14) - day number 5 led us on a second day trip, this time by bus to the town of amalfi! again, like capri and positano, amalfi was such a cute town populated by market shops, churches, multi-coloured pastel houses and town squares bustling with family run pizza, pasta (and all your general carbs) restaurants. dug into a pizza each (whoops) while sitting down and people watching - october 2014

DAY 4 PART 3 (28/10/14) - finished our day trip with a beautiful sunset boat ride back to positano! it was peppe's last boat ride for the season (they are closing up for winter) so the cutie took us on a special extended route around through the little coves throughout the amalfi and anchored us just by the rocks where we all sat on the front of the boat drinking champers and his special home made (and extra strong, jessuuusss peppe) limoncello, eating little cakes and watching the sunset! was such a cute night rugged up in the bright red towels just chatting with all the lovely people on our boat. lovedddd it. - october 2014

DAY 4 PART 2 (28/10/14) - we got to spend the majority of the day on this beautiful island! we were able to take singular chairlifts (kinda scary) all the way up to the top of the island - anacapri - and had theeee most beautiful views of the coastline and ocean. such a good day exploring! - october 2014

DAY 4 PART 1 (28/10/14) - day trip to beautiful capri! such a cool boat trip over there, super rocky (we took the 'recommended' sea sick tablets to cover ourselves ;) ) but so cool and it was so nice to have to sun shining down on us and the wind in our faces. we had the cutest captain named peppe as well so his hilarious commentary made it even better - october 2014

DAY 3 PART 2 (27/10/14) - super keen to start exploring we began the massive trek down to the beach of positano. and when i say massive, i mean massssiiiivveeeeee. exactly 843 steps to be exact (we may or may not have taken the time to count each one individually, thinking it might help pass the time that it took to walk up - answer; it didnt, but is kind of an interesting / fun fact to tell people anyway hehe) although long, the trek down was beautiful so we kind of forgave it as the amazing view made our wobbly legs semi bearable! it was a maze of steps and we couldn't even slightly remember the way down we'd be shown the night before so we just winged it and followed the direction of the water and asked for directions in shockingly broken italian (we only knew ciao and grazie, thats enough to get by right?) once finally down at the beach we just spent the morning taking snaps of the view, exploring the market-y shops and sitting on the beautiful beach in the sun! soooo nice - october 2014
