Back in action
Hopefully.. Hi everyone! I know Iāve been missing from my blog for so long and Iām sorry. I was going through a rough patch in life. A lot of things happened and to cut things short, I was in and out of depression. Iāve been diagnosed with depression for quite a while now; Iād say roughly a year or so, but I knew that something wasnāt right since I was 14. My whole teenage life, I would fightā¦

As a full time student and a part time teacher, I donāt really get that many days off. In fact, I only get Sundays off. Makes it hard to go on vacations and all that, really.
On Friday, Ma went to Melbourneā¦ for Bruno Marsā concert on Saturday nightā¦ Yes, my Ma has more fun in life than I do! Anyway, about two nights before she left, she called me while I was out studying and asked me if Iād like to go with her to Melbourne. An all paid for trip to Melbourne! Free amazing zone tickets to Bruno Marsā concert! How could I say no! Right?
Wrong. I had to say no. Bub was in front of me the whole time and laughed at the whole conversation that went down between Ma and me.
Ma: Neenaā¦ Auntie Rozana (Maās best friend)Ā asked if youād like to come with us to Melbourne!
Me: Whenā¦?
Ma: Friday!
Me: But Iāve got workā¦ you know thatā¦
Ma: Canāt you skip a day?! It would be great! You can catch the night flight on Friday and reach in time for Bruno Marsā concert!
Me: But my studentsā¦ I canāt just fly off and forget my responsibilities!
Ma: Itās just a day! Talk to your boss! Maybe she can arrange a replacement class or someone else to replace your class?
Me: Itās not an emergency, Maā¦ I canāt do that. I have my children to think about!
And so our conversation went on like that for a few more minutes before it was decided that I couldnāt go to Melbourne with her after al;. The whole time, Bub was just laughing and after the phone call ended, he said that he loves watching my relationship with my mother. He says itās cute how sometimes it looks like Iām the responsible mother and sheās the crazy kid who only wants to have fun! I guess Iāve got to agree with him. It feels that way, sometimes. Itās probably because Ma always wants to make sure that I donāt grow up too fast and enjoy my life before I have to become the āresponsible adultā. Little does she realise that Iām 22 years old and should begin acting like a responsible adult! Oh well, the struggles of an only child growing up with a single mother.
Anyway, look at how much fun Ma is having in Melbourne! Without me! *imagine a psycho jealous smile*
While here I was, on a Sunday, waking up at 3pm (yes, Ma. I know youāre reading this and yes, Ma. I woke up at 3pm because youāre not around to nag at me to wake up earlier hehehe) and made a decision to take my cousin out for lunch at 4Fingers!
We didnāt end up having lunch at 4Fingers. Her dad, my uncle decided to treat me to lunch and I had lamb instead! How can anyone say no to free food and lamb, at that?! After lunch, though, I still took my cousin out and we went on a hunt for dessert!
We ended up at Sunway Pyramid Mall and walked straight to Dip nā Dip! Iām getting my period soon and Iāve begun my PMS journey; so, chocolate was just perfect for dessert! Lekha and I were so happy with our food, we went back home grinning like idiots! (well, at least I did!)
Drove back to my uncleās house to send Lekha home but ended up staying all the way through to dinner! (Yay, more free food!) I also played with their cats and just had so much fun gossiping with my uncle, aunt and cousins! Finally left their house around 10pm and then straight away started studying for my classes today.
Currently, I am still in bed, waiting for 12pm to head to my uni and thinking back on yesterdayās adventures. It definitely wasnāt as much fun as Ma isĀ still having, but at least I had a great time with my family and ended the night studying with Bub at a cafe with (more) good food! āWe had this awesome smoked salmon thing at my favourite cafe, Sudo Brew while studying. I didnāt even manage to take a picture of it because it was that good!
Even though I couldnāt go to Melbourne and watch Bruno Mars be all sexy on stage and watch Ma scream āplease marry my daughter!ā, at least I can be very happy for Ma and let her have the fun she needs. I honestly think she deserves this holiday as any mother would deserve any holiday given to her. Iāve been on countless holidays last year and this year and Ma has probably had less than I have, so Iām glad sheās on one at the moment. Besides, I got to spend time with my cousins āwhich has beenĀ longĀ overdue.
Until next time, do widzenia!

A peek in the life of a teacher.
A peek in the life of aĀ teacher.
I probably havenāt mentioned that I am not only a student, but also a teacher. I have a part-time job as a teacher that teaches kids from 2 1/2 to 12 years old to read. Well, thatās my job scope, but so far my classes have only consisted of the 2 1/2 to 5 year olds. Anyway, I didnāt have that great of a day of teaching, today. I have two classes every Saturday: the 2 1/2 to 3 years old class andā¦
