Hotel California, the Eagles' fifth studio album, was released on December 8, 1976.

Don explains how the iconic Felder/Walsh guitar harmonies on the tail end of Hotel California evolved from a simple suggestion by Joe.

Just this week, that "solo duet" bagged second place in Gibson's online ranking of ten epic guitar outros, beaten only by Skynyrd's "Freebird."
