i feel like diluc (contrary to popular opinion) is actually very good at giving words of reassurance and comfort even though he cant be exactly the best at receiving them. but he tries nonetheless only with the people he feels comfortable with most though

the only reason he wouldnt feel comfortable with giving/receiving comfort to a significant extent is if he doesnt know the person well. they might be good, innocent obviously but it still takes some time to trust them

and theres a vulnerability that comes with giving reassurance and comfort and also advice esp since hes experienced...quite a lot and said reassurance comes from what hes learned in his experiences.

I think it’s funny when outsiders say “that can’t be healthy” when they learn about self shipping. I have yet to find a single member of this community that has had negative impact on their mental health because of participating. I’ve only seen people who have finally found a supportive place to share their creative works. People who have finally learned how to give themselves, in the form of letting their f/o love them. People who say the hobby and community saved their lives or gave them something to live for. It is the furthest thing from unhealthy.

Am i the only selfshipper out there who actually likes seeing canonxcanon ships of their F/O ??? (unless it’s a ship i ABHOR & hate w/ all my heart for reasons outside from the idea that it’s a canonxcanon featuring my f/o ,,) like ... they have two hands for a reason and i love seeing dynamics and chemistry then going “well there’s no better chemistry than between me and this fictional character anyway but it’s fun to experiment from time to time” /silly
