Poyauhtecatl Ayauhcalli

My character, Ayauhtli, along her fellow shrine maidens in their daily lives at the ayauhcalli, "house of mist," a type of temple dedicated to the aquatic deities. This one is located in the Poyauhtecatl, better known as Mt. Tlaloc.

Here's the temple without characters:

Ayauhcalli temples were centers of purification, among other functions, including the famous ritual of the New Fire. The Poyauhtecatl was perhaps the most important natural sanctuary for Tlaloc, reason why it was also called "Tlalocan." Sources indicate that the mountain had two ayauhcalli temples, one at the summit, and another somewhere on its eastern slopes, but this one is a third fictional one on its western slopes.

Ayauhtli hasn't appeared in Codex Black yet, but curiously, she's the oldest character of the entire cast. I invented her even earlier than Donají or Itzcacalotl, although her first iteration didn't have any sort of backstory.

Ya me hacía falta dibujarlas. Tqm Xochiquetzal, Chalchiuhtlicue y Coyolxauhqui <3

UFFAA dibujar el cabello de Chalchiuhtlicue fue súper divertido!! Un headcanon mío es que Tecciztecatl se parece un buen a su mamá, Chalchiuhtlicue (en mi versión si son madre e hija déjenme en paz) y que casi casi tienen el mismo tipo de cabello. Nose me parece chido pensar en eso jsjsjsj y ps que tmb ambos sean de q.. súper altos

Buenooo aquí tengan sus diseños (maybe cambian jjajajaj quién sabe. La verdad solo quería tener bien definido sus tipos de cuerpos)

Ah tmb la misma imagen pero con Coyolxauhqui más como su imagen original (enseñando su pecho) y ps si no lo quieren ver ps no lo vean HAJAJAJA literal es la misma imagen

The Cuicatec town of Yabaham (aka Cuicatlan).

It was the largest market in the Cañada region, famous for its extensive irrigation canals across the mostly arid canyon pass. Behind its distinctive red cliffs, the Cuicatec highlands rise to the east. The people of the highlands often descended to Yabaham to trade mostly wood and their hunt products, in exchange of corn and other crops that Yabaham produced thanks to its canals.

That series gave a name to misogynistic BDSM sub-sub-culture...

A friend asked me to redraw this old comic cover with Itzcacalotl, Donají, and Citlalmina a while ago. I'm sure he pictured Itzcacalotl in the middle, but no one incarnates the brawny barbarian like Donají does.

(I've been told afterwards that the series of the original cover is quite controversial. I honestly know nothing about it and just drew this for giggles upon my friend's suggestion)
