I worked on a NYMF show with the writer of this play. He was a nice but very strange dude. His college-aged son also worked on the show and they would take naps together on the rehearsal room floor.
Saw this image, strongly felt that it should be a meme but didn't know what it should say, literally had a dream that same night and this strangely normal and straightforward thing is what it told me to write.

Hello, Dolly! wasn’t meant to have an overture and didn’t get one until revivals in the 70s.
things i’ll never understand:
- why a good overture for Hello Dolly seems impossible to achieve
- the choices in the Café Imperial scene in the 2016 Roundabout She Loves Me production

At no point in my college career did I ever go to a bar and dance to anything
not to be one of those “i was born in the wrong generation” people but i wish i went to college like 10 years ago bc pop music was at its prime back then and i wouldve loved to go to the bar and dance to Gimme More

It's been a while since I've watched Modern Family
Like there was a scene where Alex (I think that's her name, the smart one?) was flirting with a guy and she said "but you're in high school and I'm in--" and I thought she was going to say "middle school" but she said "college." Anyway, that's how I feel when I look at some of y'alls blogs now. Good job and becoming grown ups!

How bad would Dolly have to be to lose?
I know I’ve made this post a million times but the fact that best revival of a musical is going to be Dolly, Falsettos, Cats and Miss Saigon is so wild. The fact that those four shows were revived in a single season is… wild.
