Now I gotta write that Qin Su finds and saves Jiang Cheng during the post-Chengxian separation post-Golden Core Surgery (ironically mirroring Meng Yao helping Xichen).

She, as the savior, in this permanently injects herself into Jiang Cheng's memory AND then she pursues him relentlessly the moment they reunite post-war giving both needed financial support with her dowry from her deeply loving father and an important emotional support as someone who sees Jiang Cheng as the Best AND her doting family who like this young man AND Qin Su herself who is a political powerhouse at schmoozing and soft power.

AND Jiang Yanli will absolutely adore a friend and sister-in-law who has the same kind of guts Qin Su has.

This probably does not prevent eveey tragedy in the ensuing years and war fallout, but damn does Jiang Cheng have a loving, happy home life and Qin Su a supportive loving husband (not her brother) and the ability to stretch her wings to pursue her own goals political/familial/personal etc. Plus, Qin Su's presence does have a positive and disruptive impact on the building tension in Lotus Pier.

Also, they have twin girls born seven months after the marriage because Jin Ling gets older cousins, and they manage to find a healthy parental dynamic. Mama Qin's story eventually comes out, leading to Jin Sibling Brigade introduction and Qin Su and Jin Guangyao become sibling friends with Jiang Cheng supporting any of his wife's extracurricular murder bonding with her sibling as this is a normal sibling bonding activity.
