This may not Wonderland, but it is the TARDIS’ basement. One of them, anyway. How often do you see that?

An Introduction
Welcome, Whovians of all ages, genders, species and planets of origin! If you are here, then, excluding timey-wimey paradoxes, this means you have found A Different Doctor somehow, and wish to read it; for this the Authors thanks you in advance. Thank you. (There, it’s done.)
Just a few heads-up:
A Different Doctor is aimed at people at least moderately familiar with the Whoniverse. A casual viewer will have no trouble following, but if you don’t know what the words ‘Dalek’, ‘Time Lord’ or ‘regeneration’ mean, you… should probably come back at a later date.
A Different Doctor is in no way affiliated with the BBC or any other official Doctor Who rights holders. Like so many before it, it is merely a fan production.
Don’t squint in a desperate effort to figure out who this Doctor is: as the title should clue you in, he’s not any of the established incarnations. This comic started between Twice Upon a Time and the debut of Whittaker’s Thirteenth Doctor, and functions as an alternate continuity wherein Capaldi’s Doctor regenerates into a completely different Doctor. (Not that we have anything against Whittaker’s portrayal so far, but we’ve got to start somewhere.) You can refer to our Doctor as 13B if it gets too confusing.
As we prize being entertaining over being painfully detailed, we may play fast-and-loose with certain elements of lore if it serves a story (don’t blame us; the showrunners do it too). Especially don’t expect the comic to stick to Expanded Universe stuff.
The Authors greatly appreciate feedback! Please do use the TARDIS Mailbox to tell us what you think.
