Nov 3-5 We stayed in Kerrville, TX to visit our good friends, Larry and Sybil Marsh. We’ve traveled the country with these two (plus Carolyn and Robyn Moore) for a 5 1/2 months in 2014, 5 months in 2017 plus many side trips in between. These two relocated to Kerrville this past spring. We had a great time with them (as usual) visiting, eating, site-seeing and golfing in Texas Hill Country. Such a beautiful area and ..... lots of wineries!🍷🍷 We’ll be back!

Oct 31 - We stayed at one of our favorite campgrounds in the country that is right along a bend in the Mississippi River in West Memphis, AR. We have fond memories of sitting on the bench right next to the river with the warm breeze blowing and watching a non-stop flow of barges navigating around the rivers bend. Always a treat to stay here! We awoke to a gorgeous sunrise with steam coming off the river. So beautiful! Onward to Texas as we make our way to AZ🌵.

We were shopping at the local grocery store in Red Bay, AL and found our favorite Honeycrisp apples from Chelan, WA! (If only they carried Chelan wines too ......Red Bay is in a “dry” county, so no chance of that ever happening.)

Oct 31 - Happy Halloween! 🎃 We are finally “on the road again” after spending the last 10 days in Alabama. We spent 5 days in Red Bay waiting for minor service work at the Tiffin factory. Tiffin inspected the coach and discovered water damage in the floor under the driver-side slide, so we spent another 5 days waiting for floor replacement Tuscumbia, AL. The good news is all labor was covered by Tiffin!🎉 Plus we installed a new satellite dish - one that works in torrential rain....which continues to follow us.😡 Onward to Memphis!☀️

Oct 18 - We had to do it....another Segway tour! This was a two-hour journey through the state capitol campus, then along the river walk and back to Broadway St. So much info and fun!

Oct 17 - We spent the afternoon on Broadway St in Nashville. We had to stop by Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge to see if our 6T’s insignia that we wrote 5 years ago was still there. We searched all the balusters of the second story staircase, but we couldn’t find it. So....we had to reapply a new one this year. We had lunch at the same table where we sat with our traveling group 5 years ago and decided to add our R-squared software insignia on the table. Something to look for next time we’re in Nashville.

Oct 16 - We arrived in Nashville, TN and went to The Music of Nashville show that evening. This show covered 60 years of Nashville music from Hank Williams and Johnny Cash up to modern country like Faith Hill and Keith Urban. The singers and musicians were amazing - we really enjoyed it!

Oct 15 - We visited Clingmans Dome, the highest point in the Smoky Mountain National Park...about 6,643 feet. Unfortunately the fall foliage was not quite at it’s peak due to the unusually warm fall weather, but we still enjoyed the beauty of the Smoky Mountains - it really looks smoky!

Oct 14 - We went back to the Skybridge in the evening to enjoy the twinkling lights of Gatlinburg. An added bonus was the full moon and ..... the “Space Needle” was lite with Seahawk colors!😆

Oct 14 - We finally made it to the Skybridge in Gatlingburg, TN! It is the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in North American and has a glass bottom at the center of the bridge. A unique experience!

Oct 10 - “On the road again!”🎵🎵 We are in route to Gatlinburg, TN to see the Skybridge in the Smokey Mountain National Park (it’s the largest pedestrian suspension bridge in North America.). We had a layover in Broadway, VA at a lovely campground nestled in a forest. The owners had the place decorated for Halloween with pumpkins, ghosts, spiderwebs, witches and other ghoulish creatures. At dusk, we heard a ghoulish groaning and looked outside to see everything lit up - too cute and......scary!😆🎃

Oct 1 - We are finally “on the road again”🎵 So relieved the issue with the coach was a clogged crankcase filter that was easily replaced. Whew! We spent the night at a lovely campground in Archbold, OH. Plenty of grassy areas for Kahlua to romp after being cooped-up in the coach for the past two days.

Sep 30 - Sad to see our coach towed....reminds me of when our last one was burned from a refrigerator fire, towed to a repair shop and was eventually totaled. It doesn’t compare to that at all, but still don’t like to see our coach towed! We are now camping in the Freightliner facility in Fremont, Indiana, about an hour west of last night’s stop. We are the only RV here, but at least we have 20amp power and can open the slides. This place closes at midnight, so we are waiting to see whether they get us in tonight or whether it will be serviced in the morning. Either way, this is where we’ve landed....sigh.

Sep 29 - So....not a good day for us. We had a "stop engine" light come on the dash this morning. Luckily there was a travel center near us off of I-80 in Ohio, so we pulled-off and called Coachnet (it's like AAA for rv's). The tech said we should not drive it and it needs to be towed for service. Unfortunately, no service places around here are open Sunday so we are stranded here til Monday morning. Sure hope they get us going tomorrow. At least there's a Starbucks here and fast food for dinner. But....have to leave slides in. (btw......we are at the TIFFIN River Service Plaza.)
