Good news, fellow artists! Nightshade has finally been released by the UChicago team! If you aren't aware of what Nightshade is, it's a tool that helps poison AI datasets so that the model "sees" something different from what an image actually depicts. It's the same team that released Glaze, which helps protect art against style mimicry (aka those finetuned models that try to rip off a specific artist). As they show in their paper, even a hundred poisoned concepts make a huge difference.

(Reminder that glazing your art is more important than nighshading it, as they mention in their tweets above, so when you're uploading your art, try to glaze it at the very least.)

I know I've pointed this out a few times before but it's on my mind yet again:

Halsin was enslaved in the Underdark for three years and no one came looking for him.

Immediately before the start of the game, he was kidnapped by goblins- after being betrayed by his traveling companions, at that- and again, no one he knew came looking for him, just a total stranger. He even said he didn't think anyone was coming for him.

And when kidnapped by Orin and then rescued by the player, the first thing he says is, "you came for me... thank you. I feared Orin's accursed smile would be the very last sight I beheld," making it clear that he didn't think he was going to be rescued that time, either.

When it mattered most, Halsin never had the protection of the ones he cared for. When given the chance, Halsin does everything he can- like spending over 100 years trying to free Thaniel from the Shadowfell. But he never has the favor returned, to the point that he is shocked when the player character, who he considers a good friend by act three, rescues him from Orin.

This is just one of many indications that his time being held by the Drow messed him up a lot more than he lets on. :(
