We started up the ski slope and backtracked a bit before realizing we needed to cross the creek to get back on the trail. A few hours later, we were racing the sun on our way down behind the mountain. Felt that fun afternoon well into the next day or two.

Lush and beautiful, and simply magical, Xcaret gave us a place to leave everything else behind and just enjoy. Yoga at dawn. Mimosas at breakfast. Exploration of Mayan ruins. Poolside mid-day. Afternoon archery. Dinner and show at night. Being together. Rinse and repeat.

Honoring Dad by retelling his tale of Tony the Turtle and the adventures of a small boy and the big world around him. Putting words to paper was only rivaled by working with an illustrator to make them come to life on paper. Once it was ready, it was test driven by a class full of kids who both listened to the story and learned to draw their very own interpretation of Tony. Creative mojo all around.
Annual leaf jumping. Who can resist when you've got a yard like this. It makes me want to put a sign out front next to a pile of rakes that reads, "Free leaf jumping".
