Pokemon Bath Bombs
My kid is turning 4 and she wanted a Pokemon Party, so, I got to creating! Wish has bulk tiny Pokemon figures and I bought like a hundred of them- Only 7 of them made it to the bath bombs but my kid isn’t complaining as she got all the extra.  Supplies:
Tumblr media
I used this Recipe https://www.100daysofrealfood.com/homemade-bath-bombs/ but before packing in the two sides, I shoved a pokemon in the center.
Tumblr media
I had a hard time keeping them together so I used plasticwrap to hold it together while it dried. So, after it was formed, I took each side off, one at a time, to cover it and repress them.
Tumblr media
I let them dry for about two days so they were nice and hard by the time I moved on to the next step of ‘Decorating’ them. On the computer, I made little circles with a note about the pokemon inside for choking hazard reasons (provided below for your printing needs).
Tumblr media
Supplies:
Tumblr media
I used the tissue paper and tape to hold it in place but I glued the black strips of ribbon on to hold the two colors together.
Tumblr media
I cut as I went but don’t be upset if the red and white aren’t perfectly straight as the ribbon covers the imperfections. The Bath bombs have a natural center line when they were pressed together so just tape the red along that line (cutting off as you go). Glue on the cutout pokemon circles and there ya go!

Remaking a Scrapbook cover
I had a water damaged scrapbook and one I found at the second-hand store that was just plain. So, I bought quilt batting and the fabrics of my choice (I had some already left over as you don’t need much. Not even a full yard for each scrapbook.
Tumblr media
First- I took the scrapbook apart and cut the batting to size and glued it down to the front and back only of the books.
Second- I unfolded the books and roughly cut the outer fabric to size and glued it down on the inside only. (It is harder to refold the edges where the bars go through but let it dry open before pressing them down so it doesn’t glue shut) Make sure the end that folds up has more fabric coming into the middle.
Third- I cut cardboard (or use the back of the packs of paper you get when you buy a scrapbook kit) into the inside size of the scrapbook (12x12 unless you want it to cover more). For me, I used another fabric color to contrast and only glued on the back of the cardboard. Glue this down on the inside of your scrapbook. Stay close to the edge as you don’t want the folds to overlap and make it thicker. (note- see how the extra fabric on that end comes into play?)
Tumblr media
Fourth (optional)- if you want, the piece that covers the plastic edges between the front and back (the bookend) can be made now. Just cut a strip of fabric to size, glue down all the edges and x mark the holes. Let it dry. I used an Exacto knife to remake the holes for the bars in the book and in the bookend fabric piece. I counted out the pages I would need and filled the book before putting it together.
Here is another version I did- with my kid's name ironed on.

This is also great for outdated looking books. If you dislike how it is years later it can easily be redone.

Height Measuring board
Tumblr media
So above is my draft work to see what it would look like (stain it before you sketch your designs if you wish a stain color). I penciled in each notch and cut out the printed letters I had for my family name. I wanted to see what it looked like. I got the board from the hardware store and it was a nice one with minimal sanding required. Once I was happy with it, I started using a soldering iron for the measuring lines, but I’m sure a steady hand with paint would work.
Tumblr media
Here is it finished. I painted the letters and it complimented the burned lines. We are a sillier family and on the back is a height chart that is removable of ‘How Tall am I...” and it gives silly examples of what you are as tall as. (link below if interested)

Art apron
Tumblr media
My lovely model volunteered to show off my work. I used left over fabric to make an apron with pockets for when my kid paints- and she needed one with her mess-making.
Only a few shapes, a trapezoid for the top (adjusted for kid size) A rectangle for the base and another for the pockets. I had the iron on letters but that is optional. Ribbon for the ties at the back and behind her neck.

Easy Heart Blanket
Tumblr media
I did this for my incoming Neice. It’s softer in real life as the colors kind of darkened with my camera.
I followed this video- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KqsAaklD0k&list=WL&index=2&t=0s
but I wrote up a pattern if you want it. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1xjt9h-M5E9r6XkfVU5zcbWErmYukYRsR1h13ey7Cv3Q/edit?usp=sharing

I crocheted this from a youtube video. I altered the pattern but I wrote up directions as I went if you want to give it a go. It took me a while but I finished and my daughter named her stitch.
