The polished / clean is true for all AI. Too shiny & glossy.
As for interiors I look at chair legs, table legs, knobs on the range, and hanging lights with proper cords.
Hey!! I was wondering if you had any tips for finding interiors that aren't AI generated? Istg you're becoming the only source I can find
This is an interesting question. I've looked at thousands and thousands of images from interior design books so I can separate AI fairly quickly. Two tips that might help are; 1. If it looks too polished and perfect, it's probably AI. Focus on an object, like a piece of furniture, and find how the light hits that object. AI cannot capture how lighting hits an object. Only photographers can do that. 2. There should always be a source listed, like a book title, editor, author, interior designer, photographer, etc. Hope this helps.

A quick, hour long sketch session where I let myself play with color and value without worrying too much about details. It was fun little exercise that led to a cute emotive piece :)
