Eddy sat against the wall, his knees pulled up to his chest. He rested his head on his legs and let out a sigh. There was a number of people walking past him, and he couldn't say anything to them. He wanted to be better in social situations, but he just couldn't bring himself to try. So he sat and watched.

Eddy hesitated, then finally nodded. You can't get better at social interaction without practice, Eddy. He started walking in the direction of the closest cafe. After a few steps he turned and gestured for the girl to follow him.

Eddy stared at her hand a moment. He gently took it and smiled a bit awkwardly. “Eddy.” He mumbled quietly. He brought his hand back to his side quickly. He brought his eyes up to meet hers only briefly.

Eddy stopped a bit, unsure of what just happened. He shook his head slightly partly to clear it and the other to dismiss her unneeded apology., then bent down to help the girl pick up her things. Once he handed them to her, he kept his gaze down and resumed his position back against the wall.

Eddy stood against the wall in his normal spot watching the people pass him. He stared at each of their faces, not being bothered by their returned looks. Most thought he was crazy, they weren’t exactly wrong.
Eddy brought his gaze down, trying to break the habit of staring. So he just looked at his feet and ignored those who passed him.

Eddy watched the girl. Something about her seemed different. Though to Eddy, everyone was different. Living in a mental hospital has that effect. “Hello.” He forced out quietly.
