Air Jordan 6 ‘UNC’ Debuts In Iconic University Blue
Jordan Brand has, over the years, paid homage to Michael Jordan’s alma mater, the University of North Carolina (UNC). The past iterations of the Air Jordans, such as 1, 3, 4, 6, and 9, have featured UNC’s signature University Blue. For this upcoming Air Jordan 6 ‘UNC’ release, the blue shade continues to take centre stage.
Coming through in a colour blocking style known as “Carmine”, the shoes are white-based with University Blue and navy accents throughout. The upper spots the contrasting blue and white colours, while black informs the interior of the shoes and the heel pull-tabs.
The tribal pattern, which is commonly seen on the Air Jordan 7, is depicted on the transparent tongue and insoles. On the heels, a patch that has been associated with school-inspired releases like ‘Oregon’ and ‘Michigan’ Air Jordan 5s can be seen. More recently, this scholastic mark has been seen on the Air Jordan 4 ‘UNC’.
Touted as one of the most anticipated releases in 2022, the Air Jordan 6 ‘UNC’ is set to drop on 5 March in full family sizing. Grab yourself a pair on GOAT and Flight Club.

Air Jordan 1 Low Golf "University Blue" Is Dressed With a Tar Heels-Friendly Palette
Michael Jordan — even during his prime playing days with the Chicago Bulls — has made it clear that he’s just as obsessed with playing golf as he is with the sport of basketball. The six-time champion will still be often be spotted out hitting the fairway nowadays, and Jordan Brand has nodded to this affinity by beefing up its retro golf footwear catalog. One model that has gained a substantial amount of steam in recent memory is the Air Jordan 1 Golf, and it has just surfaced in a clean “University Blue/White” colorway.
The new installment overtly shouts out MJ’s alma mater by making use of signature Tar Heel colors, and the color-blocking is reminiscent of Eric Koston’s Air Jordan 1 Low SB “Powder Blue” collaboration that launched back in 2019. Wings logos appear on the rear end with white embroidery and the tongue’s branding has been reworked with a Jumpman golf logo. Construction-wise the outsoles have been slightly beefed up with more ridged treading so that wearers have ample grip when rocking these on the green.
Jordan Brand has not confirmed release details for these just yet, but you can definitely expect a drop to come soon. Retail is set at $140 USD.

A Deconstructed Air Jordan 1 Low “Inside Out” Revealed
Virgil Abloh’s influential “The 10” collection has laid a lasting trend of deconstructed looks in footwear. Since its debut in 2017, we’ve seen every brand mimic the style, and in 2022, it persists with Jordan Brand’s most recent Air Jordan 1 Low sighting. Dubbed the “Inside Out”, this upcoming release sees the particular details of Virgil’s work such as the exposed sponge innards and exposed stitching at the Swoosh.
Matching exactly with a recently revealed Air Jordan 1 Mid, this AJ1 Low sees a mix of light cream, light grey, and white tones on the upper, while a bright orange is seen on the insoles as well as on the Swoosh logo via stitches, which could also allude to Michael Jordan’s 23 jersey number.

Air Jordan 11 Retro “Cherry” Releasing Holiday 2022
The holiday season means one thing: the Air Jordan 11. In previous years, we’ve received Remastered iterations of the Cool Grey 11, Space Jam, Bred, and Concord, while updated concepts in the Jubilee, Win Like’ 82, and Win Like ’96 have written new stores for the modern era. For 2022, reputable sources @zsneakerheadz and Sneaker Files confirm this year’s end-of-year release to be a white/red mix simply dubbed the “Cherry”.
While a low-top version of this color-blocking was introduced way back in 2001 (and again in 2016), it has never once appeared on the Mid. Executing popular low-tops of the past into Mid-tops seems to be a popular and buzzing trend in 2022 Jordans based on the high acclaim around the upcoming Jordan 13 “Brave Blue”. The “Cherry” is a colorway that speaks all too directly to the primary Air Jordan fanbase as the colorway itself could very well fit in with the original grouping in 1996. Not even the Air Jordan 11 PE king Chris Paul ever received an issue like this, so this upcoming release will surely a treat. Meanwhile, the “Cherry” moniker, which first surfaced around 2009/2010 with the retro release of the Air Jordan 12, is attached to this colorway for obvious reasons.
A retail price of $225 is confirmed as well, and although a firm date isn’t yet confirmed, you can pretty much book these for the month of December. Stay tuned as we learn more, because there’s still a lot more 2022 Jordan releases to get through before these hit our radar.
