Trans safety

Out of an estimated 1,397,150 people who identify as transgendered in the U.S., 29 were murdered in the last year. That is 0.002075%. In the same year, the murder rate for the United States as a whole is .0049%. The murder rate for transgendered people is less that half of the overall American rate. THIS IS GREAT NEWS. There’s no reason for trans people to worry about increased risk of murder in the U.S.! This is not true in some countries around the world, but in the U.S. the statistics are very encouraging. Also, in the UK there was 1 reported death and zero in Canada.
