Went on a trip to Brussels for uni. I didn't have enough time to go to the natural history museum, but we did go to the war museum as part of the trip and they had a taxidermy dog in the WW1 display: Whisky the one-eyed rat terrier!

Save a Native-owned local farm & the homes of the four people who live there
Laurae has built up Gray Fox Farm with her blood, sweat, and tears, and she needs help raising legal funds to defend it from a wealthy white lawyer who is leveraging his power to demand she pay more than the market value of the property plus give up half her infrastructure, claiming that’s “50%” of the equity.
Please support someone who truly deserves it. Laurae houses me, my partner, and another individual here, and she works so fucking hard making it by on barely anything. She deserves to be left in peace with everything she’s worked so hard for.

It was so difficult to take pictures of these beauties but I loved the giraffes too much not to post them. I love their poses, the wrinkles, the baby! Way too cute. While I was looking at them I was so distracted by their shapes that I forgot there was a mirror behind one of them and I uh. I spooked myself. There was a guy behind the giraffe looking my way. It was me. Not my smartest moment

Leather is better than plastic for several reasons but one of my favorites is how lighting brings out so many beautiful hues.
This is fuchsia with brass✨

hello friends! I have suddenly been hit with an incredible opportunity to get a service dog prospect from a reputable breeder who already has foundation obedience, public access, and service task training after years of wishful thinking! for context, I have EDS, IBS, chronic migraines, chronic fatigue, autism, ADHD, anxiety, and depression. Covid particularly has made it difficult for me to leave the house and be out in public, and a service dog would give me so much more confidence and freedom. I will be working with a trainer and have lots of dog experience already, so I feel confident that I can manage training for the long haul.
if you can contribute, share, whatever, it’s all deeply appreciated. thank you !

i get sensory overload when I’m stung by wasps, which happened frequently in the summer, but god dammit if they didn’t leave me lovely gifts
these will mostly be in curiosity boxes and, if I find time to make some, display cloches

the bulk peroxide.com promotional emails make me laugh my ass off every time bc they literally only sell hydrogen peroxide and nothing else and they just keep trying to market it to me and act like it’s the most exciting sale ever. however it kind of is for me bc it’s the only thing I can justify buying during a sale & I have been needing it for a while so

I've got a shop! Go check it totally out!!
I've been working on it for a while and I'm so excited to share my new shop with y'all! There's cool things in there! For nature nerds! Some things under construction but I'm workin hard to to tidy things up and expect to be just about updated by December 1st, which is also when I'm relaunching my Creature Mail sticker club! If you're into that kind of thing! Holidays coming up yadda yadda - if you know someone's favorite animal, it's easy to find them a gift! I've made creature stickers, magnets, journals, posters, art prints, cards, and keychains for all your gifting needs (or just for you!!). If you're in a position to support me (hi, I'm Featherbone, an indie wildlife artist and strange bird man) I'd appreciate if you take a look. :-) Regardless, it helps tremendously if you share this post - thank you and I hope you see a cool bird or something today!!
