Moving!

I am in the process of reblogging the threads that I’m keeping over to there (there are over 200 posts worth, so it’ll be a while) but I’m intending to leave this blog up. However, once I’ve made the move over, I will probably not be popping in here often. So, if you need me, either hit me up over on my main, @ladykittenfair or again, where Laz is over on @multifandommuseroulette.

Not a fan of multis but still want to play with Lazard? No problem! You don’t have to be following me to play with any of my muses, just hit me up in the ask/IMs over there. (I also tag for the main character in a thread, so I can show you how to blacklist anyone if you’d wanted not to see something.)

To move, or not to move?

//-chinhands- I really love this URL, I do. It’s what a lot of people know me as, it’s where I made my biggest mark on the FF7 end of the Tumblr fandom. But... well, after that accidental deletion I have less history here. Less reason to be attached to this literal blog, you know? And admittedly I come on here less because... well, because there’s so little activity to be had.

Part of that is my fault, I’ve got three replies I’ve owed for months that I haven’t touched because... well, I haven’t had the motivation, I’ve been dipping into other fandoms and other muses. But I’ve also had three partners just... vanish from Tumblr, for various reasons, and other partners just don’t seem interested anymore.

I spend most of my time over on my multimuse blog, just because between all the different muses I get way more activity. It’s fun, it’s rewarding, and it keeps me excited to be there. And I’m wondering if maybe moving Laz over might be enough to give him the fresh start I need.

But a bit of that hinges on you guys. I’ve got a little over a hundred of you here, and while some of you are over on the multi too, most of you aren’t. So, how do you feel about it? Multis aren’t everyone’s cuppa, I know that.

Of course, I have some other, interesting muses on there that might well interest you, too. Seven FF7 ones (not counting Laz), and most of mine can cross over even if they don’t have a specific FF7 verse. Or you might even have someone in one of those other fandoms you’re interested in tossing my way, there’s that too.

So... let me know how you feel, hm? Would you still want to interact over there/are you interested in others that I have? I’m especially interested from hearing from anyone I have a thread with. I may ask you specifically if I don’t hear from you sooner.

Do you have an independent multimuse roleplay blog? Are you having trouble finding other multis who play in your same fandom?

Welcome to the Multimuse Alliance, a project to archive as many multimuse blogs as are interested in the project.

How does it work?

Any independent multimuse blog can make a submission of a pre-formatted promotion (see the FAQ for guidelines) and be posted to the blog with up to 20 tagged fandoms of their choice. There will be a fandoms masterlist that tracks all fandoms mentioned on the blog, so people can go looking by fandom for blogs.

Do I qualify?

//Sidenote, I’m tentatively opening shipping on Lazard again, but I definitely will need chemistry, at least a thread building up their relationship into something that proves it’s plausible. I’m sure a younger Lazard may have been open to a no-strings-attached situation but I don’t smut so that doesn’t really interest me. I’m talking actual relationships. Multiship situations, since all threads are independent unless specifically stated otherwise.

Angeal sighed. Why didn’t he just go to medical in the first place when he came home from his mission? Then he wouldn’t be in this mess. He looked at Lazard & Sephiroth hoping that they could help some of the nerves that he was having.

Lazard watched Jack slip out, sighing quietly and offering Angeal a reassuring smile. “This will be fine. He’ll put you under, get it over with quickly, and you can sleep it off. One of us will be here when you wake, and you’ll be on the road to recovery, alright? Nothing to worry about. It’s going to be taken care of.”

Verses List

Here’s a quick list of my standard verses. Please note, I’m not restricted to these - I’m totally open to AUs, crossovers, etc - but it’s just some basic ideas to get started with.

Final Fantasy 7

V: Wild Child (Before ‘87)

Lazard’s years growing up in the Slums, from birth to age fifteen when he first joins ShinRa.    

V: In the Company (Pre-CC/BC, ‘87-’00)

Default ‘verse. Covers the five years when Lazard works in Finances, and the eight years as Director of SOLDIER leading up to the events of Crisis Core.    

V: Pivot Point (CC/BC)

Here the timeline diverges into one of two outcomes.

If Lazard works with Hollander: it’s as a double agent, and he seeks to work both sides of the line, not abandoning his other SOLDIERs while trying to use Hollander to save Genesis and Angeal.

If Lazard turns Hollander down: Crisis Core continues as normal, Hollander finding support elsewhere, but Lazard does not defect and continues to serve as Director of SOLDIER until the Nibelheim Incident.

V: Vanished (Post-CC/BC)

If Lazard worked with Hollander, he is discovered to be a double agent and held in a mako tank, not found until around the time of Advent Children. Hollander conducted experiments to attempt to turn him into an Angeal clone, but was interrupted. As a result, Lazard has enhancements roughly equal to a Third Class and has developed a few of Angeal’s behaviors. His recovery takes place in Mideel, where he is currently living once he’s able to live on his own again.    

V: The Defector (Post-CC/BC)

After losing Angeal, Genesis, Sephiroth and Zack - after being ordered to be a part of the various coverups - Lazard hits his limit. He quickly gathers his men and his resources and defects to Wutai where he sets up operations. There’s a good chance, when he hears about the WRO, that he may bring them back to Edge to help Reeve out.    

V: Everything’s Fine and Nothing Hurts (AU, CC/BC+)

Crisis Core era, open ended timeline, but Genesis never degrades and the status quo goes undisturbed. Flexible development of events, everyone-lives, happily-ever-after AU.   

FF7 + Pokémon crossover

V: Pokémon Mako (see details)

Lazard fills a similar role as in canon, serving as Director of SOLDIER. The only thing different is the setting it’s taking place in.

Blog Updates

So, I did some work on the blog recently. You’ll notice on my page that I’ve changed up some links. I’ve linked not only to my personal blog, but my other rp blog, @multifandommuseroulette, for quick access. I’ve collapsed Tristan and Genesis’ blogs onto there, and I currently have Reeve, Cait, Hojo and a load of other fandom muses. (I’m also, eventually, going to add Angeal and Chaos.) And I put up a link to my open starters (currently there’s two, but I’ll see about more.)

I’ve also put together a new muse page that has a lot of detail! It covers his backstory, has a personality profile, verses list, and more - including a list of threads. You can find it HERE.

A few of my partners have either been deleted in the purge, or left Tumblr, but I think I have everyone else listed. Real quick check, I’ll tag all of you and you can go take a look -

D&D Alignment

I was doing up a new page layout for Lazard, and one of the parts to fill out was his D&D alignment. Here’s the results of the test. (Test Here) 

Neutral Good

A neutral good character does the best that a good person can do. He is devoted to helping others. He works with kings and magistrates but does not feel beholden to them. Neutral good is the best alignment you can be because it means doing what is good without bias for or against order. However, neutral good can be a dangerous alignment because when it advances mediocrity by limiting the actions of the truly capable.

“Are you feeling okay?” (Argentumexitium)

A smile was a simple, practiced defense; Lazard had been polishing his ‘I’m fine’ face since he was a child. He couldn’t help but wonder where he’d slipped up, what had alerted the blade that he wasn’t feeling as well as he pretended to be. Last time he’d looked in the mirror he hadn’t been particularly pale, but perhaps, at least, it was clear he was tired. And he’d gone through several bottles of water trying to keep the gravel out of his throat... perhaps that had been less successful than he’d thought?

Still, he smiled. And tried one last time to pretend everything was fine. He had far too much to do to take a break for something like this. “Quite alright, Masa, thank you. Did you need something?”

Lazard’s smile grew a bit more genuine and he nodded, gesturing for him to follow. After all, if he was being put on guard, it was for Lazard’s benefit. So it only made sense that Lazard could move him around as he pleased.

Not normally something he did, assignments were set for a reason, but in the sick cadet’s case he’d make an exception. “Back this way. I’m afraid I don’t keep things for tea in my office unless I’m sick. But I know where we can get something for you.”

An odd offer? Perhaps. But he wouldn’t be stationed in SOLDIER territory if he wasn’t cadet-infantry, which meant he was a SOLDIER hopeful. And that was close enough to his jurisdiction to count. Besides, what Heidegger didn’t know couldn’t hurt.

The blond hadn’t meant to say such a thing, but clearly he was overwhelmed with the mistake he had done. He was a rookie, fresh from the crop and only recently passed a month of training. For now, he’d be stuck as an infantryman. But, once he proved his worth there, then he could go onward to 3rd Class. Even that would be a dream until he could make it to 1st.

 “Sir, I–” Before he could mutter a reluctant apology like a nervous child awaiting reprimanding from a parent, he instead was offered to… talk. And while sipping tea, no less.

With the Director himself.

“Oh…” Cloud again, despite wearing his helmet, his tone and nearly loosened body language of surprise was easy to read. “Yes, sir.” He said, despite himself. Best take this opportunity now to win back Lazard’s good graces.

“Don’t say ‘I told you so’. I know, okay?” The young cadet, Cloud Strife, was foolish enough to let his thoughts be known before he could stop himself in a rare sign of disrespect toward authority otherwise shown elsewhere.

The director arched a brow at that particular tone, but fortunately for the cadet he was more amused than anything. His expression settled into a faint smile as he took in his appearance. Even if he’d been wearing his helmet, it would have been obvious he wasn’t feeling well, and was certainly in no mood to be told he’d made a mistake coming in to work. Not that Lazard would; that was saved for people he knew better. “Of course not. But perhaps it would be a good idea to detour to the lounge and make some tea? This time of year, bugs run rampant, and they spread through the ranks quickly. It’s not your fault, exactly, but it does merit attention.”

“I made you soup… Or at least I tried.”

“I told you this would happen!”

“Don’t say ‘I told you so’. I know, okay?”

“I’m never eating your cooking ever again.”

“I caught this from you. This is all your fault!”

“Do I have a temperature?”

“Let me check your temperature.”
