You know what sucks? Despite being on this site for almost a year now, I have never seen one positivity post about LGBTQ+ people that are muslim, and I think that’s really bad, so I’m making my own.

Mixed rep in the media as a whole is kinda a fucking disaster so I'm definitely encouraging people to write more diverse mixed race characters!!! That being said give this handy dandy little guide a read to make sure you have a basic idea of what you're doing. And also. Y'know. Maybe dont make your mixed characters nonhuman. Just a thought

Bakugo Breakdowns

I think an underrated part of how Bakugo seeks out Deku when he’s having a breakdown is that he expressly doesn’t want Dekus help.

He doesn’t want Deku to comfort him, try to fix anything, or make it all better. He has no motive to seek Deku out, someone who compulsively tries to help others.

He goes to Deku with only one goal, to be seen

He wants this, even though for most of the series he’s under the impression that Deku looks down on him, with that in mind he still can’t stop his need to bare his soul to him

He confronts him ‘knowing’ he’s probably giving Deku more ammo, and with very loud intentions of not wanting pity or anything from Deku

Katsuki doesn’t have a lot of emotional intelligence which leaves him not thinking about his reasonings for things he does, he just follows his gut and doesn’t question it. Despite everything his instincts are always to trust Deku

So he goes to the person he trusts most and says “I’m hurting, and I need to feel seen, even just for a moment, just until this weakness passes. Pease just see me, acknowledge that I’m someone still, that I’m not as alone as a I feel, validate my hurt without trying to change it please”

And Deku does, he sees nothing but Kacchan and nothing ever changes that. No matter how grande and powerful, no matter far off and lost from the heros path he has strayed, Deku still sees Kacchan

When the sun rises, it is impossible not to fall in love.

The first, rosy hues that announce it has risen from its slumber are softer than one would imagine. It is peaceful, muted, even. Astonishing is the comparison to the same heavenly body that burns above all, demanding recognition of its incredible heat and brilliance.

On the dusty, earthen floor, leaves unfurl while petals peel back, in awe at the sight of the dawn.

Golden rays shoot out from his face, surrounding that captivating grin. As the sun rises higher and higher and higher, the greenery feels itself stretching after it, reaching out toward that celestial being, the star that gives it life, the love that warms its heart.

How beautiful the sun is, how magnificent! What else could shine like that? Did anything burn more fiercely than the blazing being in the sky? Victorious it was, everyday, outshining all other stars. Nothing else lit up the world, his world, like they did.

He could feel it deep in his roots, a fire that burned as his limbs rose up, grabbing at whatever light he could touch. Flames licked inside of his veins, flowing along the path of his green blood. It overwhelmed him, filled him, fueled him. It was his passion, his core, his very essence. To stand in the sun’s light and feel its strength and warmth, there was nothing more awe-inspiring.

Desperate to be worthy of its light, he blossomed. Watered with the sun’s brilliance, he bloomed, spreading and growing, filling up as much of the Earth as he could, hoping beyond hope for even a glance. He wanted to be magnificent; he wanted to be like the sun.

He was not the sun. He was pinks, and purples, and blues, and overwhelmingly green, green, green. His petals fell, scattering the Earth like freckles dusting its cluttered face. As he grew above, so did he below, perhaps unperceivable by his beloved, but a necessity to grow strong, and beautiful.

It was all because of the sun.

He lived, and so did the world, but his life was just for one. Every morning, golden light greeted his eyes, and his dew-soaked leaves shook off their weight, remembering again his reason for being.

Leaves over petals he fell, again and again, realizing that love was not a feeling, but an experience. How lucky he was, to watch the sun rise every day and know that love was born in the morning.
