I just...the way everyone criticizes and punishes someone for their opinion, but won’t fully punish, or even hold, actual criminals accountable for their illicit actions is atrocious.

I understand being offended if someone criticizes a group you love; I really do understand, but it’s not, and shouldn’t be, an actual punishable offense. Someone should not lose their career because they said they don’t like a song or whatever, that’s their own opinion.

Twitter, and other social media stans, voice their opinions all the time, but it’s only actionable if an idol states their own? Meanwhile, the netizens that called for him to be removed are some of the same ones saying S*ungri is innocent and HSH is a good person.

Like? Make it make sense? Please?

All this does is further the imbecilic belief that idols aren’t human beings and their opinions are invalid.

not to be dramatic but i'd kill for tae joo and kang gook to have 5 more seasons and three movie specials

they're both so beautiful, and honestly, Where Your Eyes Linger is just 90 minutes long yet it served us a beautiful, simple love story that most other series fail to execute in over 10 episodes.

going into the details, i'd like to point out how the 10-minute length for each episodes had its pros and cons. sadly, supporting details in the series are more often told, not shown, and perhaps we could have benefited more from a little more screentime of tae joo coming to terms with his feelings for jang gook, for instance. not to worry, however. for its pros, the short length gave way for the series to be crisply made, and the details are so interconnected that it's quite easy and satisfying when the viewer realizes the thought behind each action, each scene. the series is well thought out given its limitations, and that's very admirable! what they could not give for length, they more than made up for with the superb acting, masterful shots, and a beautifully written script! not to mention, the coloring in this series is so consistent, i'm truly in love. i could watch this again and again. (besides, the short series has given us enough to make fanfiction out of. an obvious hole is about tae joo's mother; his dad said she was weak, so i'm guessing that she died of illness. which explains—not excuses—the father's bad attitude.)

as for the story ending itself: in a word, Where Your Eyes Linger is the very definition of intimacy. Han Tae Joo and Kang Gook are so believable and i felt for them so much; the 15 years all amounted to this, and i am sure that from their first and second kisses, there will be more. to hell with tae joo's father, to hell with their status. by the end of the series, they're, what, both 21 years old? because they've been so intimate with each other for 15 years strong—granted, with three years of separation after—i could honestly believe that running away was possible even with the full force of tae joo's father on the hunt for them. i trust that they could do it. if anything, their separation only made their longing stronger.

i am very happy with the way things turned out. in the end kang gook finally did what he wanted to do: run away. he has harbored so much love, and pain, for so many years, and even then he could not hold on to what could very well have been a hollow promise from tae joo that he'd come back. without the certainty, it was reasonable that he was really lonely, and just wanted to go, finally.

that's why tae joo coming back for kang gook, not kang gook running to him, made so much more sense. it solidified their relationship and made what they had certain. tae joo had held the power in their relationship before, but him coming back for kang gook, i think, put them on equal footing. they became equals. they are happiest when they're with each other, cannot bear to be apart. just, always together, falling forever.

i'm so happy for them. i know it's a short series, but parting with them now makes my heart heavy. since it's korea, i know there will probably not be any more material, which is sad. i'm truly gonna miss them.

hands down, one of the best BLs out there.
