As an ao3 author, I can't overstate the impact of comments, but I feel like we don't talk about bookmark notes enough. Comments are usually addressed directly to the author, but most bookmark notes are either what the reader wants to remind themselves or what they want to tell other readers. And I think that can be so insightful and also hilarious. Here's a few of my favorites:

You know if you're not too picky about canon and if you believe like me that characters have a life off screen probably more interesting than on-screen, this sentence can totally be applied to season 1 Haladriel.

They can have fucked after they were released from jail. After they argued in Miriel's council chamber? Galadriel can have followed him and they argued fuck against a wall, or he came back and they had hate sex on the table (I mean who would have stopped them, uh?). After the forge scene? Galadriel came back. On the ship to Numenor? It probably took them at least a week to get to the Southlands and Galadriel surely had her own cabin. In Eregion? When Halbrand started recovering, Galadriel walked in for comfort sex. Or even better, after she started suspecting him of being Sauron (my favorite).
At this point it's not even a question of if, but how many times they did it ;)
