Dingus' Adventure through Archie Sonic!

The original miniseries (Archives Volume 0)

Starting the series off, I read the original mini series that was released before the comic entered full serialisation, later collected as Sonic Archives volume 0! It basically acts as a small introduction to the cast and world, which at this point is very primitive and basic, but surprisingly charming! Yeah, I enjoyed these comics to be honest. They don't do much special, it's entirely down to the charm factor. A lot of old comics have this sorta vibe, and I love it so much! Very light-hearted, cartoony and dumb fun.

The stories themselves are very simple, Sonic joining the freedom fighters and tackling Dr Robotnik, the tyrannical villain looking to rule their home planet Mobius! It's not taken seriously in the slightest, which is absolutely for the best. Just a nice intro to the main cast, as well as some of the main things that come up across the series like Robotnik's roboticizer (turns people into robots, who coulda guessed x3)

A lot of these earlier issues are very episodic. I might not have a ton to say about a lot of them, so where applicable I'll group the reviews up! Probably by how they were collected in the Archives reprint series (2-4 issues per volume)

So, here's the plan!

I am going to be working my way through the long, wild history of Archie's Sonic the Hedgehog comic series. This consists of nearly 24 years worth of issues, totalling to 574 total issues (including every optional side story, crossover or miniseries). I will be reading and giving my thoughts on every single one!

To plot it out, I'll be using the reading order from https://thankskenpenders.tumblr.com/readingorder, as it covers everything I'd need to know

Some issues may only have a brief comment, some I'll go more in-depth with, it entirely depends on what I think of each one.
