in celebration of her 24th anniversary, Mayura's Ukagaka ghost has been (officially) re-released by her creator, download her for free here (my persomal unofficial mirrors were unlinked from this blog in anticipation for Mayura's return)

for the first time since 2013, 'Little Witch Order Complete File' (a 198 page artbook) is now available to purchase digitally via Suzuri.jp

Mayura's official merchandise has been re-released (with some brand new products like posters and keyrings as well)

Mayura's creator, Mukei has been quite active with a new project, JUNKER'S HIGH (named after the OutRun 2019 prototype)

Junker's High is a well researched and laidback vtuber-ish YouTube channel focused on talking about retro computers, retro tech repair guides, and gaming history. it's set in a junk computer & parts + repair shop located in what appears to be an alternate universe's Akiba and hosted by the store managers (fully voiced by VOICEVOX voicebanks, Zundamon and Shikoku Metan) . (it's in japanese but I highly reccomend checking it out! I've been subbed to them for sometime now, not realizing the connection to Mayura so if you're into niche retro games and computers like the PC-98 you'll probably get some enjoyment out of it or learn something new.)

since Mayura now shares a living space with the store managers who host the channel, their future videos might feature cameos or comments from Mayura in the future according to Kuro Unyu's recent interview.

Mayura's anniversary (3/9) and merchandise return were featured in mainstream news outlets

for archival's sake, please link to the official download from now on instead. I can't speak on how her creator feels about it, but as a fan it was disheartening to see people inexperienced with using or programming in ukagaka, japanese or retro gaming lore in general download my (unofficial) mirror downloads just to destroy her dialogue and functions completely to just then reupload her again with Mukei's readme and credits stripped. if your version of Mayura stops talking after a shell change, you downloaded a faulty/corrupted reupload and should try reinstalling mayura_final.nar.

additional context: so turns out the main character in this comic isn't the "real" Mayura, she's a seperate derivative character (and KINOKO skin) created by He-noki called Maa-chan & Grunt. Mayura does make a cameo in the third panel behind her, that's probably Mayura's ethernet cable getting cut too.

"The Fourth Archangel" (of Ukagaka) (alongside 1. Seriko, Naru & Anko, decided by Saimoe tournament rankings)

"the four archangels" can be used as an extra esoteric shorthand way of referring to any selection of 4 Ukagaka desktop mascots that you spend the most time with (reference: the four main archangels in the Bible are Michael, Gabriel, Raphael and Uriel)

"the third honorary default ghost"

Mayura was the first user-made ghost ( A.K.A not just an additional visual shell/skin for Nin'i-tan/Sakura)
