This video talks about artist copying other artist’s work. I feel as though copying is not a bad thing and provides for innovation of new techniques. For example, Manet used aspect from past artists to develop his compositions. However, he used a different style of painting, so his work was not a complete copy.

I Ike this article and the idea of artist stealing art from others. I find this to be true, as I am also guilty of it. However, this stealing is not about just copying someone else’s work, but about taking idea and shaping them into something new and different.

Rubber Band Sculpture, 2016
I like this sculpture because he uses wood, which isn’t a flexible material to make a rubber band, which is a flexible material. Also, this sculpture reminds me of a sculpture I made in another class.

The entire Scary Movie franchise is a mashup because each film represents/parodies pop culture. Example, in Scar Movie 2, “The Exorcist” is referenced.

Charles Csuri has worked in animation and has been described as a pioneer of computer animation by Smithsonian magazine. Another artist who also works in animation is William Fetter, who is also a pioneer for graphic design. Fetter was the first to create a figure as a 3D model.
