Transness; a Path to Follow

As a trans man, I've been learning a lot about myself and the way the world around me perceives me. I've been glared at, sneered at, laughed at by two peers, and it is a terror to my confidence. The shakiness I feel as a "man" is insane, I feel my masculinity that's made of painted on mustaches' and unshaved body hair crumble around me. I doubt my discovery. I doubt all the affirming things that have made me feel right. Once again, I'm transported back a few months ago to the time I wished that I could just be a girl and and be happy at the same time...

But that's not ever going to be the case. I will never be happy as a girl. One day, I will look back and be glad that I couldn't be happy someone who's not myself.

A friend of mine, further along on our shared journey, told me the following, "It is not an easy path we have been set upon but a journey we must fave nonetheless.. the further into your transition you get, the more these feelings will dissipate and you will feel more certain that even though it hurts and is so difficult, you made the right decision in allowing yourself to finally see yourself as how you were meant to be. Just know, there have been so many moments where I wanted to just go back to being a "girl" and wanted to give up on myself because it felt too hard. But once I got through it, I never regretted giving myself the space to finally find myself."

Please, confide in your friends, love ones, strangers on the internet. As the trans community, we should be here for each other, and I hope my friend's wisdom they shared to me, comforts you too.

HOAX of the Day: Fur Bearing Trout
