I hadn't originally planned on this one further than the sketch phase, but I found some old alcohol ink markers and couldn't help myself. Oh prismacolor warm grey 20%, oh french grey 70%, oh sepia, how I've missed you my loves

Hey guys! Super excited to announce that one of my designs is now live in the Etsy shop I work for! These wolves are 100% produced by me, and if they do well enough we're going to release more of the animals I've made. So, everyone go buy one, but not all at once because they do take some time to produce 😅

I made these leaves out of scrap at the leather shop as last minute holiday gifts for friends this week, and man am I happy with how they turned out! The threadwork was a last-minute experiment and I love the way it compliments the rustic tone of the leather. Going to be expanding on this concept in the future for sure!

Since so many people are popping back into this space right now- hello I am still here and still doing art, just not super often because my hands don't work very good anymore 🥲 but anyways here's a commission I did today that I'm not a big fan of, but whatevs. Black walnut is not good for pyrography! Colored pyrography, anyways, but I'm never going to claim to have any kind of grip on working with colors.

My special interest shifted to yarn tails for a few days and I'm really excited about the method I came up with the make them. Also excited that I finally have a use for my hoard of yarn I bought when I thought I was going to get into crochet, aheh... But anyways, for all of these I made various U-shaped looms and wrapped the yarn around them in a figure-8 pattern, then did a tight backstitch down the middle to hold it all together. Cut down the outer edges, fluff and trim, and hey, that's a tail. I haven't gotten far with smoothing out the yarn yet, but that's not the part of making these I wanted to tackle. From left to right up there we've got the proof of concept, another test with multiple colors, a failed machine sewing attempt, and two made on a bigger loom. The last two were both made in under an hour! What's better, it would be so easy to modify them to be a giant worm on a string, haha!
I plan on launching my Etsy in a month or two and these will definitely be a regular product, I think. Until, commissions are somewhat open!
