Apple propaganda notwithstanding, the reason tower PCs are big isn’t because they’re outdated. The reason tower PCs are so bulky is because they’re designed to be user serviceable. The case has lots of open space so your big, meaty hands can easily access all of the components, and everything is secured with friction-fit tabs and standard machine screws to minimise the need for specialised tools. A properly laid out tower PC is fully serviceable with a single Phillips-head screwdriver and no greater manual skill than your average Lego playset – heck, for some of the more modern case layouts you don’t even need the screwdriver, unless you’re performing major surgery like a full motherboard replacement.

Like, think about who benefits from convincing you that a fully modular computing device that can be serviced and repaired with your bare hands and minimal technical skill is unfashionable.

Despite all your whining and complaining that the Democratic campaign recognized that Trump is a fascist (???), people *actually fucking supported the Dem campaign*. Or at least, it looked that way. All I was saying was that, yes, as I acknowledged in my original post, their campaign wasn't perfect (to put it lightly), but it sure as hell looked like it was going to work out just fine up until election night. Plenty of candidates have had extremely limited previous political success and won their presidential campaigns, like Lyndon Johnson, who won zero primaries in 1960 but won the whole election in 1964. So putting Kamala in that role with limited previous presidential success isn't that unprecedented. Also I am not going to turn around and blame racial minorities, Muslims and gay people; I'm going to blame the people who didn't vote because one candidate is a rapist felon fascist transphobe and the other was endorsed by Dick Cheney (so they must be just as bad as each other!) Shut the fuck up.

weird thing is that until election night i thought the campaign had been great. there were so many grassroots donations to it (over a billion dollars worth), indicating popularity among the people. there were rallies in places with tens of thousands of seats that were filled to the brim, while trump's own rallies were struggling to draw a few thousand audience members. harris's own speeches were really quite good (in my opinion), clear, coherent, going over some great policy promises (and a couple not so great ones like the border but i digress). EVERYONE loves walz for being authentic, even some of the gaza "protest" non voters. the "trump is weird" thing took over and GQPers hated it. the coconut tree meme was well utilized by the campaign, rather than being milked until it was lame. compared to hillary's campaign this was a masterclass. but i guess the biggest mistake was trying to appeal to republican voters, as a democrat.
