I have been a dietitian since 1992. I completed my post-graduation in dietetics and public health nutrition from the Institute of home economics, Delhi university. Since that time, I have served as a consultant dietitian and nutritionist in more than 25 different hospitals, primarily working as a therapeutic nutritionist for diet treatment and nutrition during illness and also as hospital dietary services advisor and manager. During this time, I gained a lot of experience and insights into the problem faced by patients and their families in regard to diet management during and after an illness. After spending more than 20 years in hospitals and therapeutic nutrition I have been an advisor to various nutritional programs for infants, children and expecting mothers. I have been awarded an honorary doctorate in 2020, for my work in the field of nutrition and dietetics.
During all these experiences, I found that we as a society lack in nutritional literacy. We are not aware of the negative or positive aspects of various foods and different types of diet on our physical health and psychological wellbeing. This clinic is my attempt to rectify this deficiency. I believe in 100% home cooked diets with no starvation. My diet aims at overall nutritional correction with a complete and healthy lifestyle change, with long term results and benefits.
