He did have some fun with his friends over New Year's, so he was a bit tired from his lack of sleep. But thankfully, he did not drink that much, so he wasn't hungover. But he was pretty hungry, so he was at the Early Bird cafe and wanted to get a quick bite to eat. He looked around as he got inside and it was pretty busy. Looking like he was far from the only one who had a good night and wanted a bite to eat. He looked around to see if he saw anyone he knew to join since it was that busy. Thankfully, he spotted Connor sitting at the table and walked over. "I think we all had the same idea?" he said as he looked around. "Anyone coming, or do I need to go home and eat at Dev's central?" he chuckled @connorxbowen

Diego was around for Christmas, but a few weeks before, he did go to New Mexico to visit family but had to come back for Dev. But with his time away he didn't hear about what happened to Tegan till he got back home. But with the holidays, he was busy, so today was the first day he was able to find out she was working today, so he made his way to the homey inn. He looked around till he saw her. "Tegan," he called out as she was behind the counter. "are you okay?" he asked, hoping she was okay after everything. He hadn't seen her place in a while, so he didn't catch the issues in time, and he felt bad about it. @teaganweatherford

Emmett told him she was coming, but she tended to be late. But Diego said it was fine, he had time. Thankfully, soon, he saw someone come up he had not seen before. He smiled at her for a moment. "Hello, Ms. Gupta," he said with a nod and a smile that turned into a small smirk as she greeted her son. "I am. Mr. Castro, but you can call me Diego." he let his students call him that, too, but most did end up calling me Mr. Diego. "But Emmett's project is this way" he said leading the way. "But he's very good student already getting good skills for my Wood shop one class" he smiled from Emmett to Adi. @adisgupta
Adi was running late. Truthfully, she always ran late so it wasn't a surprise that she was. She had lost track of time as she was at work and her bartender had reminded her of the time before she took off to get to the high school so she could meet up with her son and see his projects. She may have gone through a few stop signs on the way over before she showed up to the high school and made her way to the shop class; knowing fully where it was from going to school there herself. "I'm here." She said with a smile as she saw Emmett and ran over to him. "Hey, my boy." She kissed his cheek, to which he groaned, and she laughed before looking at who the teacher was. "Hi, I'm Adi. Emmett's mom." @diegoocastro

Today was the first day of school back after winter break, and Diego liked to welcome the new year with a student project show-off. That his Autoshop kids and woodshop would have family/parents come in to see what work they have been doing. It was a good way to show his students' families how they had been doing for the year and how their current project going. A good welcome to the new year and look what I did last year.
So each night during the week he had a couple family members come in after school. Today he a few students lined up but the last one for today was Emmett. Who was a nice young man, a good freshman student of his. As far as Diego could tell, he was very new to all the woodworking, but he was doing great and had a talent for it. "So Emmett, you said your mom is coming?" he asked as he looked around, sure she would be here soon. @adisgupta

Diego nodded as he loved cars and things; they had always been his thing. "It's a blast," he grinned as he started to drive. "yes but the kid's side" was not as fastas carts and other games and rides that were more kid friendly. "Yes they are smart and know it gets cold and snow so it's all inside" so in the winter it is safe from the cold weather and in summer it had good AC and is out of the sun."I mean I do have extra pair of gloves if you need it" sometimes the vibration of the karts did annoy people. "But you should love it." The place set you up, so it was safe and made it a good time. @nazlixceyhan
"It does," Nazli entered Diego's vehicle with a smile, "that sounds like fun," she told him as she buckled into the passenger seat, "have you taken Dev there?" She questioned, curious to how he came across it more than anything. "I can't say I've done anything like that recently," she told him, "It's indoor, right? Or else I might have to request a stop for some warmer winter wear," she joked, "I didn't bring gloves or anything." @diegoocastro

He smirked "I am glad for that..." he knew it was a thing at some auto shops, and people did fail for it. "like with blicker fluid, you should not fall for that." he knew both the air and light fluid was more of a jok,e but he hoped no one fell for them. He smiled at her. "That sounds like a good time to me," he nodded. She was friendly and cute so he would be glad to spend more time with her. "I mean, watching is a start," he said as he got what he needed to change the tire and started to. "But think that I have freshmen who can do this; you can too," he said it may take a few lessons, but she could get it. He quickly did the tire change and put the bad one in the truck. "Just make sure you get to a tire shop to try and get that fixed or replace it" he nodded. @blairehamilton
" i promise i didn't actually fall for premium air, " blaire let out a soft laugh, shaking her head quickly. " i'm not that clueless. " she knew better than to fall for stupid things-- that was why she thought tire rotating was fake too. now it made sense though. " hmm... deal. we can go wherever you'd like-- my treat. " the blonde grinned at him as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. " okay, no promises that i'll actually understand what you're teaching me, but i will try. " she crossed her arms over her chest, watching him carefully. she definitely wouldn't retain any of it, but she'd humor him anyway.

He sighed. "I was meant for Thanksgiving, not really on it. I knew already taking him on it wouldn't be good." he just misspoke before. He wasn't a fan of this but he knew it had to be done. He couldn't just keep letting it go as he did as she made the holiday plans and that was it. No he didn't like the fact she had both this year but he would have to deal with it and just do stuff with Dev other day with his family. He sighed. "Fine." he looked at Dev for a moment as he was running around. He just didn't know how to make them both happy there didn't seem to be a way to do that. @beyzaxalpman
"That's not what you asked at first." She said. "You added that in later so you can see where I am making that certain now." While she hated having this conversation right now, she was glad they were because it was going to have to be figured out anyways. "I know you do and I'm glad you do. I'm so glad he had you in his life." She sighed and looked at him. "You will. Just give me this and I swear next year you get him Christmas Day. Please." She begged him. @diegoocastro

He nodded the town was very nice for sure. He was happy to be living here now. Even if he didn't have his son, he knew he would enjoy the town. Maybe with her help he could raise more then what he was doing on his own lately. "That sounds like a smart idea." Maybe an auction would help. That he could get others to sign up too so it wouldn't be just his work on his own. He did as much as he could, but with teaching and his son, he didn't always have a lot of free time. @danaxallenlopez
"Of course, I'm sure you've realized people in Kismet are more than happy to help out when the word gets out," she told Diego, "at least, that's always been my experience." There were few instances in which she had run into people that felt they were above helping out. "I'm sure we can also come up with some auction or something, auction off goods that you've made or others that have made and portions of the proceeds go to the school." @diegoocastro

He chuckled slightly, he guessed you would have to toss it pretty hard to have it fly back at you. He looked down at the box and moved out of the way. "Opps" he teased as he looked at her. He got out of the way to watch her and smiled. "I saw him, but he did a thing with his mom and her boyfriend." he didn't mind it, but he wished he was a part of it more. "I dressed up with my cousin" he laughed. "How was it with you?" he asked. Once it was his turn again he walked up and did another good toss near the center "I guess it helps I am handy with tools" he joked. @jaslenexclairmont
"I would hope I'm not so bad that the axe goes in the complete opposite direction that it's supposed to," Jaslene commented in return, a wrinkle of her nose with the words. "Or that you're standing so close while I'm making my toss," she grimaced slightly, "there's a reason there's this little throwing box," she gestured to the outline in red. "Thanks," she said as he returned with their axes before ordering with the waitress. Jaslene ordered a drink as well before turning her attention back to Diego, "How was Halloween with your son? Did you get to go trick-or-treating?" @diegoocastro

He looked over at her he did understand her side of it too, but both had their own feelings for sure right now. "I wouldn't take him to New Mexico on the holiday I would always try and work it to be around it" but he had family in town and he wanted them to see Dev on holidays and big moments as much as she wanted with her own family.
He sighed as he looked at her. It was hard because their families were really on two different levels. It was never going to be perfect one was going to be without being at their place no matter what. They never would be a couple as far as Diego felt, so it was never one home for them.
"And he is mine too, I really love him." he felt like the best thing Diego had as he was single and spent many nights home alone unless he had Dev." "I would not take him to New Mexico unless we all went he woudln't do that. "I get it, but I've never got to see that; you have to see its hard for me to think about knowing I wasn't there to miss them and now I am close and can't see it." @beyzaxalpman
"Yes, I can." Beyza told him and sighed. "You want more. You want to take him places and for holidays that don't include me there and you're not understanding how hard it is for me to let go." She stared at him. "He was all I had for four years. It was a lot for me to let him stay at your place and now with going on trips with out me or holidays without me and I..." She shook her head. "I don't want to miss moments with him and I know you don't want to miss more either, but I'm trying here and you being upset at me because I can't easily make changes isn't what I need. I compromised on both Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's just this year and I told you that and it's still not good enough. You say you're okay with it and you're clearly not." She took a deep breath.
"You are taking him before Thanksgiving and can join us this year again for Thanksgiving. Going forward, we can split it. You can take him next year, but I just ask to see him. That's all I want. So either we go to yours or you come to mine, but I just want to be able to see him. And if you want to take him to New Mexico for it, then I want a video call." Beyza heart ached talking about it, but she knew it was the for the best. She just wanted this moment for now. "This Christmas, you get him for Christmas Eve and I get him Christmas day. We will switch at night and you're free to join us for dinner. Next year, I will get him for Christmas Eve and you on Christmas day. Your family is always welcome to my place, just let me know and we'll make the accommodations. However, I don't think a yard in the middle of winter is best to do any holiday." She smiled a little to try to show him she was joking.
"I don't want to fight either, but you have to realize where I'm coming from too. He's my whole heart." She looked at their son and then back at him. "I just put my foot down on him being in New Mexico for Christmas. I do need him one of those days. And it's just going to be hard not waking up and seeing him on Christmas morning, but I'll get used to it as long as I see him the day before. Is that okay?" @diegoocastro

He let out an annoyed breath. He didn't like how this was going; he didn't like fighting with her over this. He just was starting to feel like it wasn't as fair as it should be with them. Yes, he got Dev a lot. Dev did stay with him, and that was good. But the holidays were different. Everything had been with her and at her place. "I am not mad, Beyza. I am just upset. You can't see how I feel about this." he wasn't raising his voice as Beyza was at times. "And I am his father; yes, we both didn't go great not exchanging our information years ago, but That shouldn't make it so you get him more" because she had him the first few years. "No, I don't have a big place, but the dinner or Christmas morning can be just us, and later on, we both can do family things and make it work." It's not like he keep Dev all day long if he had Dev on one of the holidays. "You know you have said I can come over to the holidays, I can, but you know I have family here too?" he sighed he wanted his brother and cousins and other family to be around Dev for the holidays too. He wished he could pay for a bigger place, but he could not fix up a house. It was a lot on him, and he wasn't going to be able to get a bigger place any time soon, if ever. "But if I had to, my yard is nice. We can make the space and have everyone over, my family and yours," he said, looking over at Dev for a moment. "I don't want to fight, okay? I just please try and think about it, think if it was the other way around..." she wouldn't like it. He was sad about this, he just wanted to have his son too. @beyzaxalpman
"And you have. You're making bigger deals about things than you should be, though." Beyza said and rolled her eyes. "It definitely seems like you're mad about all this." She crossed her arms and felt her blood boil as Diego continued. They had never argued before, but there was a first time for everything. "Because I am his mom!" She said a little louder than she intended and it gained some looks from the other parents. She took a breath to calm down and she looked at her son's father. "I have spent every holiday with him and I don't know what it's like not to so do not compare me having him for two holidays and you having him. You don't get it. I still want it all with him and I'm making sure you get your time too. You are welcome to my place for these holidays and you can have him on Christmas Eve, which is also part of the holiday, this year. Next year we'll discuss other options as well, but this is all new for me and you getting upset at me for having a hard time letting go isn't what I need right now." She sighed and rubbed her head. "Besides, my place holds more and I have my family plus Emre and Seyda to think about. They all want Dev around for these holidays and want to see him too and they are here in town. Are you sure you want all of us at your place?" She asked him with a raised eyebrow. "It's obviously not fine with you. If it was, you wouldn't have said something." @diegoocastro

He nodded. "I know that; it's why I waited a year to show I am here and here for good before asking for more with him." he just wanted to show her he was here and now to make it fair. "I am not mad at you about this. I said I am fine with taking him before Thanksgiving," and he was glad he could do that. "And I love that, but you get him at your place on Christmas and Thanksgiving.... I am here, too. I have a new home I made with my own hands. I'd love to have him at my place for one of them too." he knew she just moved and had a new home, too. "Like just as easy as I can come to your place you all can come to mine" he sighed as he looked at their son running around having a good time. "Just think of it: if I had him both holidays at my place, I don't think you would like it too." Even if it was in town and she could come over, he didn't think she liked him having Dev for both. "But it's fine. I'll have to take him a week or so before Thanksgiving and be back Tuesday or Wednesday before," so he was back in time. He was fine with that. He understood having him out of state for a holiday was a lot. But both others being in her home he wasn't a fan of but would have to deal with if it was what she wanted. @beyzaxalpman
"You realize how different it is, don't you?" Beyza asked him as she looked into his eyes. "I raised him. I am used to this and you have never said anything about it until now. And this is the first time you've asked to take him anywhere so you can't be mad at that." She told him and shook her head. "I understand, though, and I'll ask. But if I say and you don't like it, talk to me. Don't bring it up at a later date to try to get your way to get our son to go to New Mexico." She said firmly before cursing in Turkish under her breath. "Diego, stop. I told you you can take him before or after because I wanted to see our son on the holiday and invited you over so you could too." She told him while she was being defensive. "Then why are you doing this?" She asked curiously. "Why are you having issues? I told you why I wanted him for Thanksgiving because this is the first in the house with Emre and Seyda. And Christmas, you are getting him for Christmas Eve and I get him Christmas Day." She shook her head. "What more do you want from me?" @diegoocastro

He chuckled for a moment; he knew it was a silly joke, but he loved to make it when he told people about his scar. He nodded with a smile. "I think it's help. I will do what I am raising funds for." he fixed a car, fixed a hole in your wall, and built a shelf for whatever a person needed. "I hope with your help we can come up with something." He smiled as he looked at her. "I just need the right people, the right group or something " to get the word out there to get other people in on it. He could only fix and build so much and if others could do it, it would help. @danaxallenlopez
Dana quietly laughed, "Right, of course it did, I don't know what I was thinking." It wasn't the first time she had heard the joke and she doubted it would be the last. "That's smart," she told him, nodding her head, "people appreciate a person that is willing to get involved for the cause, at least that's the way I've seen it." Sure, there were people that wanted things for nothing but those people were ones that Dana did not associate herself with in the long run. "I'm sure we can find some people to partner you up with to get the money you need." @diegoocastro

Diego didn't think it was someone he sort of knew who won him. But he was glad he did it made it a little less weird for him. But at the same time, her close relationship with Beyza was another story. "Glad," he said, saying he would have changed plans if she hadn't wanted to go. "That is true, too; it helps." he smiled and let her into his car. He had cleaned it, thankfully, after having Dev for a few days. "But there is this cool place I found. It has like go-carts and bumper cars and like big kid go-karts," he chuckled as he got into his driver's seat. @nazlixceyhan
Bidding was to appease her parents. They were worried, naturally, about her since her divorce from Andrew. Little did they know that she was also sleeping with her ex-husband from time to time. So, she did and much to her surprise she ended up bidding on the father of Beyza's son. She knew him, of course, but it had been a while since she had really seen him in some time. "Hey," she smiled at him when she got out of her vehicle to meet up with him. "I'm not worried, Diego," she gave a short laugh, "it's not like this is our first time meeting each other." @diegoocastro

He chuckled, "I mean, I guess so." He still preferred not to miss or hurt himself or, worse, someone else today. But it was for fun; he was just glad to hang out with someone. Thankfully, he could stick on the board and not do too badly. "Lucky start," he joked as he watched her go next. "Eee, I mean, you did hit it; you didn't miss to smack me in the face, so that's a win," he joked as he went to get each of their axes so they could go again. "I am sure we both will get better" he walked up to the waitress that came over and placed his order for a drink and snack to eat. @jaslenexclairmont
"You don't have to worry about that," Jaslene joked back with Diego, "embarrassing yourself is all part of the fun." As someone who didn't enjoy embarrassing herself either, she knew that the lighthearted company of Diego wouldn't put pressure on her to exceed expectations when it came to axe throwing. "Hey, see, that's not so bad," Jaslene clapped as Diego threw the axe at the board, landing at the second ring. She stepped up next to toss her axe at the board, it landed off center, barely hitting the edge of one of the rings, "Well, yikes," she laughed, "not as good." @diegoocastro
