i was looking at my old gifs earlier and i realized i Have The Technology to make them closer

okay but now I am thinking about how different Yusuf and Nicolo would have felt straight after the siege of Jerusalem & gaining immortality in the sense that all of their ideas of what their futures were going to be like changed.

I would think that Nicky would have probably accepted that joining a war party is deadly, so he must have been prepared for the option of not making it out alive. In fact, personally, I hc that he might have even expected it, but he felt that the cause was worth the sacrifice. Therefore, once he finds out that not only was their war party monstrous but that he also cannot die, I Imagine he really would not have any idea what to do. He hadn't really planned his future beyond the invasion, everything is a blank canvas or uncertainty and possibility.

On the other hand, because I hc Yusuf as a civilian who took up arms to defend the city, he would have had plans. He had an idea of what his life was going to look like, of who he was and what his place in the world was, of what he was going to go back home to. I imagine it would have been a much harder struggle for him to let go of those plans and goals he would have built for himself. While Nicky maybe had nothing to go back to while Joe had a lot of plans that he had to let go of that he would have mourned and that that is also something that created friction between them even after they stopped being enemies.
