"When Russell pushed the script across the table I instinctively did what everyone in my profession does: I checked how many lines I’d have. How else do you know if you’re an important character or not? I thought I’d be rifling through for my own appearance but I couldn’t believe it: there I was virtually on every page! This wasn’t a cameo - this was a whole story….. Twenty-nine years after walking away, I was going back to Doctor Who.” - Elisabeth Sladen

*taps mike* Guys I want to talk about this scene, as it is not only my favourite Martha scene but possibly my favourite companion scene-
Because Martha Jones has just been through ABSOLUTE HELL, and you see that woman there, Professor Docherty? She sort of helped with that! She traded Martha’s life for her son’s. Martha figured she would, but you know, being betrayed can’t be nice.
AND WHAT DOES MARTHA DO when everything is back to normal? SHE FINDS THE WOMAN WHO BETRAYED HER AND SHE FORGIVES HER JUST LIKE THAT AND GIVES HER FLOWERS
Martha Jones (who understands only too well one’s desire to protect one’s family) is THAT COMPASSIONATE AND THAT KIND

You know all those wonderful Conservative parents who proceed to abandon, kick out, or cut off their children for any reason (including, but not limited to a child’s sexuality)?
Well here we go:
“But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.”
1 Timothy 5:8 (NKJV)

I have a complicated relationship with gender called "I'm too lazy to self-identify as anything but a lesbian so I guess I'm cis".

“Why should we care about women’s representation in video games?”
“Nobody is going to want a female protagonist!
“Their target audience isn’t big enough to warrant any games!”
“Women aren’t as capable as men, they don’t belong in video games!”
“If more women started playing video games, maybe then they’d have a say in the matter!”

You don't want to know how many people asked me what Homestuck character I was supposed to be. I stood outside of the TARDIS, crying, and started screaming at the Doctor for locking me out. People still asked me if I was supposed to be a Homestuck character.
PCC John Barrowman photo-ops! That was about four hours’ worth of make-up for all of about twenty people to know who I was, but it was fun all the same, especially for the people who did know who I was, and the looks on their faces when they realised. I met a man who did a really fantastic Brigadier and we had a twenty or so minute in-character conversation, where I got to thank him for saving my life that one time. But the best part was going up to all of the little kids who were cosplaying an incarnation of the Doctor (most of them were Elevens): “Grandfather, you’ve gotten so young!”

I sent out for booklets from Cardiff Uni and a few other schools, and those ought to take a little while to get here but then I'll have them all in paper format, thank god. I hate PDFs.
